Why would people keep talking about something that is settled? He was an idiot that drove without a valid license. Sounds like he never had one in that state. Was he helping his wife? Maybe, maybe not. He never said that on the Zoom call, but it also doesn't matter. It was not an emergency. He wasn't supposed to be driving. He called into court while driving, illegal in many places in general, while not having a license.
It is just a funny story of a bonehead that got called out in real time.
The only one making this about race is you. It is what you do.

Gentle reminder: this wasn't a "dumb criminal joyriding during a court Zoom call." It was a man taking his wife to a hospital during a court Zoom call. Don't all chime in with your well wishes at once, might overload the servers.
No, the man wasn't taking his wife to the hospital. He clearly stated that he was pulling into a spot for his doctors office. Also the POC (defendant) was judged by a POC (judge), I don't see how color came into the equation.
