I never thought much about getting old; just want to be able to take care of myself. Little that I know about low testosterone issues which is what I'm going through now. I have to get testosterone injections every two weeks because my levels are so low and to be honest at the age I am now it's like going through puberty all over again with the energy boost and the constant erections.

Years ago, when I was in my 50's, I was very overweight and my T was low. I took the injections every 2 or 3 weeks. I was suppose to get it every 2 but often I just never got around to going in for the injections. Sometimes I had to wait 10 to 20 minutes in order to get to the head of the line for the nurse...so I would put it off until another day if I didn't have lots of time to spare. I don't remember having any energy boost or different erections. I don't remember exactly why they were checking my T but it had nothing to do with libdo or erections.

Hi Mackster

I am new to HRT injections and at first I felt overwhelmed with the revival of my erections and roaring libido.
However, the low T symptoms were horrific: widespread pain that was diagnosed as Fibromyalgia, ED and zero libido, tiredness and feeling weak, all the time, unable to have a proper nights sleep, hot flushes and hypersensitive to changes in temperature. Not to mention low mood, depression and countless other health issues.

Since starting TRT about 26 weeks ago, all these Low T symptoms have slowly faded away. TBH I am over the moon that I have become ‘masculine’ again, even my voice has become much deeper and body hair is regrowing, can no longer shave once a week, facial hair has started growing so much quicker and seems to be far more of it. I have welcomed my TRT as my quality of life has been a massive transformation for the better and couldn’t go back to how I was.
I also understand that having a low T is associated with early death from any cause compared with men who have a normal T level.
I may be much younger than you so the benefits may not be as welcome for you but the health outcomes are a good enough reason to continue with the shots.
I have hypogonadism which is primary low T. This was caused by an illness, called mumps with bilateral testicular swelling, which must have damaged the testes which is where T is manufactured in males.

Take care and hope things improve for you.
