Martial arts: gay or retarded?

The female fighter is a world renowned martial arts champion, who has made many such films. The films are low budget kung fu exhibitions, peppered with a lot of tomato sauce. I enjoyed the highly professional fight scene, and the excellent camera work.

This type of film has a restricted audience, which is not always made up of morons.

I am a Wing Chun practitioner and value this of type of film, for the instruction it gives me.

I despise all forms of violence, and have never used violence against anyone.
 
From my angle and experience, the fight scene was excellent. Taken out of context, the fight scene can appear hilarious.

Meantime, thanks to The Bled for the download, which amused me no end. The intestines scene, was particularly tasty. :D
 
the use of the word "retarded" rather offends me - I have heard the word applied to my older sister, my former step daugher, and to people close to me and people unknown to me


on a board where we get all excited about some actor calling another actor a "faggot" we allow free use of the word "retarded"???????????????????????????????

There are many other words that could have been used and I am dismayed that this one has been allowed to stand. It has none of the political savvy that another thead has in its judicious use of the word "nigger" to make a serious point - the usage in this thread title is just plain wrong and the mods could easily change it use a different word, something not vicious towards other people.
 
Bear in mind that the instigator of this thread posts from Bulgaria, and may not be as savvy as an American on the apparent sensitivity surrounding the use of this word, for some people.

I believe that the intention was not to abuse, or insult. Christian moral theology teaches us to look to the intent, as well as the result.

the word "retarded" is simply not acceptable as a derogatory word. We have problems with native English speakers and those who know English as an additional language and the point needs to be raised.

That's some pretty shitty choreography. It just looks like a student-master fight to show the moves, but not like a real fight with anything at stake. They may know what they're doing, but there's no stage presence to it.

Even our awful kung fu movies are better than this :P

Calm down a bit won't you? I didn't invent this word and I know almost everyone uses it whenever something looks stupid or just plain idiotic. Kill me for it. ](*,) It wasn't meant to hurt anyone having health issues of such kind on this board.

Don't concern your self too much, for our American friends so often mean well, but also have a tendency to be rather belligerent in presenting their views. We Europeans have a more easy going attitude to life. May be its our food and wine?

As a fellow supporter of Liverpool FC, I am well aware that you are a man with a big heart and a soul that beats at one with the best in the human being.

Didn't we do a good job in beating Chelsea? :D

Clip was kinda cool - the style of karate I practice is based in various others, karate-do and shotokan primarily, but is has evolved a lot along the way and is kinda bastardised more than anything else. The choreography was very impressive, although to the layman I should imagine it to be a little goofy.

LOL, must be the wine ..| When I was in the USA back in 2004 almost everyone was joking and calling themselves retards and no one seemed to care. That's where I heard this expression. I must've gotten the wrong impression tho, probably all of them were deeply hurt but didn't show it. :P

LOL yeah! (!w!) Go Reds! The second place ain't that far either, who knows, maybe we can knock Chelsea down to third... (!)
