Marvel announces all their movies for the next five years

I have been hoping for Northstar in an X-men movie, but it doesn't seem to be. I would be shocked if Marvel did that before Fox anyways.

I would have preferred Michael Jai White as Black Panther. Considering he is a marital artists himself and he was pretty good in Arrow. Can't say I am really hyped for a lot of the sequels and all that, though. I will see Dr. Strange because of Benedict Cumberbatch, though.

It is sad that Black Widow does not have a film of her own. I like her.

I strongly agree. Michael Jai White was destined to bring Black Panther to life on screen.

We'll see what happens. Hard to get excited when it's just in the test phase.

Mystique is an lgbt character. She was in a long and romantic relationship with a mutant called Destiny. Destiny was a mutant that could see the future. Unfortunately, she was also able to see alternate futures as well. Most of the time, she couldn't tell them apart.

You know why Marvel has been hesitant to actually put in an lgbt character? The same reason star trek refused to put in an lgbt character, as liberal as they were. It's called latent homophobia.

She's really not a super hero if you think about it.

I thought she got some of the same type of stuff as Captain America. Did I read wrong?

Yes, you did. She's just a highly trained spy. Which is why a movie about her will be just another spy movie rather than a superhero movie. This is why they haven't given her her own movie yet.

Same with hawkeye.

Yeah mystique is a good point but let's be honest she's very much not a lesbian in the movies which is a shame.

I actually think marvel could have an lgbt superhero soon. I could see living lightning turn up in agents of shield and I can even see young avengers getting adapted some day!

Mystique's relationship with Destiny was never confirmed. There was only speculation as some also guessed that it was just a maternal bond with Destiny. Correct me if I am wrong.

goldenmoth: Mystique does have some attraction to men. Nightcrawler is her son after all.

Of course it was never confirmed. Look at the time when those issues came out. The writers couldn't have come straight out and describe Lesbo sex. It would have caused a riot.

Lots of lesbians I know have biological kids.

Look at the great Gatsby. They turned an obvious gay character nick into a sexless character in the movies.

Despite being an overly obsessed Japanese manga/media fan. I have always LOVED and still do love everything Marvel did both in terms of movies, cartoons, comics, games and their Tv series. To say I am excited was probably an understatement though.

To be honest I don't think she has an attraction to men. Her mind has often been described as too cluttered, as if she gets the personality of everyone she impersonates and obviously some of the people she has impersonated are straight.

I think when it comes to her making an actual romantic connection it's all about destiny

I couldn't have worded it better.

Actually, I'm surprised there are others here who religiously kept up with these comics the way I did.

Of course there are! I think comic books are very relevant to gay people because of the metaphor of keeping your life a secret and trying to help people.

Plus the epic stories and amazing storytelling

And of course the ridiculously hot guys

Not a die hard comic fan but I wish the male-lead character wear sexier costume
