My boyfriend is pretty masculine and his school is getting ready to room him with a flamboyant guy. I was wondering if yall thought (or know from experience) how masculine and flamboyant guys get along as roommates. Sometimes flamboyancy gets on my boyfriend's nerves and he doesn't mean to but sometimes he gives off bad vibes. He knows the guy and says he is a cool friend but he is very skeptical about rooming with him.

The question is about as precise as "do blond people get along with black-haired people" :) It depends on both your bf, and the other dude.

Agreed. It depends on the people involved.

Also remember that roommates don't have to get along necessarily.

Masculine and flamboyant gay guys are both gay guys. Any problems are going to be personality driven - not about who's masculine or not.

Unless your "masculine" friend thinks that makes him better than the other guy.

Why doesn't he like Flamboyant guys? I am masculine myself but being gay you would think that you wouldn't exactly be skeptical (as in judgment) on someone just because of the way they are. In the end both are attracted to guys so why does it matter. Flamboyant guys can't help to be flamboyant as "masculines" can't help but be "masculine"

Your boyfriend appears to have insecurities with his masculinity to somehow feel threatened by someone who is flamboyant. They're both gay. Sucking dick is a good thing to have in common and make friends with.

Some of the nicest people I have ever met are flamboyant guys. They are sweet, funny, outgoing. They also can give you some of the best sex you've ever had. ..|

Do both of them know from each other that each of them is not straight? You did not provide us with these details.

That's what I think as well. They're just roommates for peace sake. Tell your boyfriend this, "You don't have to have sex with him. You don't have to be best friends to each other. Just be civilized and cordial. Just be roommates."

Your right Rolyo85, it's not a very good question and it does depend on the people involved. I was just wondering would their personalities clash? Yall are right they don't have to like each other to be roommates but they do have to get along, especially since they are living in the same small room lol.

and yes both are openly gay and artistic.

Well, if they are both artistic, they might bond over that.

They both go to one of The Art Institutes. My boyfriend is studying Interior Design and his roommate is studying Fashion Photography.

Only part of school is about classes and textbooks. The rest is about life. This sounds like a perfect learning opportunity for all involved.

When will we learn that gay is gay? If we are 10% of the population does it help if we line up in camps? Aren't we all looking for the same thing?
