I don't give bioware enough credit for the whole indoctrination theory . Although I am going to go out on a limb and say synthesis and control are ridiculous.

I think the ending was terrible but the game itself was fantastic.

And I'm gonna also say Ive taken no part in the bitchiness that is the mass effect fan base but I'd they do release post game ending dlc. I will pay for it and I will love it

It definitely left me with a gaping hole in my chest

On the opposite side of it all if you look at the whole game as the ending and not just that last 10 minutes. It feels a lot better lol

And I loved finally doing kaiden.
Although god damn they made Ashley super hot in this XD

Why is Synthesis so bad though?

I hate this theory.

The ONLY reason I did not destroy the reapers was the fact that the hologram-Child told me the cycle would just start up again.

So... I destroy the reapers then in 50 thousand years the same thing will just happen all over again?

Why not spare everyone this nonsense?

Also, why is Synthesis letting the reapers win?

I thought the Reapers were here to destroy organic life because of "chaos". If we merge synthetic and human life doesn't it solve that Reaper problem?

Also, who else cried when Moridin died?

I just cried through the entire game tbqh. I woke up the day after I beat it and cried more.

I'm not kidding.

Edit: Oh and it's totes fucked up that the Mass Relays are gone. Although I get the symbolism about that green planet their own little "Eden" to start life again.

I guess the point was to build your own civilization before starting to connect with others. You have to know yourself before you can start branching out.

I'm just sad that Kaidan has to live without Shepard.

Question: I had 100% Readiness and over 5k (nearly 6k assets) why couldn't we just let the fight happen?

Fourth option: Do nothing. Then all that motherfucking work we all put in actually means something

Shit.

Forcing everybody in the galaxy to merge DNA is a bit out of character at least for the shephard I played.

Destroy was my favorite.
Also did you not hear how adamant about not choosing destroy vent boy was?
Yeah you'll die and eventually this will happEn again except the reapers won't be here to stop it.

Sounds awful.

All synthetic life would die... Idk edi walked off the Normandy just fine. And if every geth died oh well.

Umm. The repears motivation was pretty Hypocritical...
Well we can't have synthetics destroying organics. Solution! Kill all organics that arent Neanderthals.

The ending was fine after (your choice of 3) colorful explosions.
But then they take away all of your own use of imagination.

I think that the mass relays being destroyed was terrible but it's open to interpretation.

If they'd have left it alone you would have been able to go hey maybe it's not so bad. They could rebuild and salvage reaper or atleast some kind of crazy tech (mass relay and stuff and maybe then just maybe it'd be ok.
.... But then here comes herp tell me more about the shephard Derp my sweet... Talking about going to the stars again one day.

Why the fuck kill the whole universe of mass effect...?

Lmao.... I didn't know I felt so passionate about the ending.

And yeah I cried when Mordin died lol
Funny how I didn't like him in me 2 but in 3 he was easily one of my favorites.

So what do you think Sol will be like with everybody trapped their... XD I hate typing on my phone if I was at a pc and was able to I back stress free to reread what I typed I'm sure itd make more sense

Mordin was one of my all time favorite characters in any video game ever! I was so sad....

But yea, ending sucked big time. I like the idea of the cycle and needing to change the solution, but I don't get how ALL mass effect tech is destroyed with Destroy, including AIs, VIs and spaceships. It makes sense how the relays were destroyed as part of it tho.

Synthesis is the stupidest thing ever! In the ME universe, the actual laws of physics are followed, like yea it's just a video game but mass effect physics is very accurately based off the real world. Then throw in Synthesis, where a bright green light rewrites the DNA of all already-existing organics and gives DNA to machines? That makes no sense. And the whole EDI/Joker thing? really????

And I wanted an epic boss fight with Harbinger.

But overall the game was insanely good, I would get a true ending DLC. Cuz it left more questions than answers. I wanna know who built the Catalyst!

Looks like everyone and their mom has things to say about this game! I just want to get to the point:

1.) This game had soooo many epic moments. Curing the genophage, settling the geth/quarian conflict, Thane's death. Oh my god, this game did not disappoint, until...

2.) THE GODDAMN ENDING. I can't say anything more than you guys have said already. Not sure about how I feel about Bioware thinking about doing a DLC amendment of the games ending... I certainly welcome the idea... but wonder what kind of integrity that shows.

3.) GAY romance. Listen, I wanted to bag Kaidan since the beginning. And I loved the chance to get with him (ps, I made Miranda cry when I dumped her! OUCH)! I just wish that the romances were more fleshed out... and also... am I a total lame-ass for wanting an ending that allows me to continue to love my space boyfriend?! Instead, I feel my choices just opened up a whole other can of worms with no mass relays and all my friends on some other planet. And then I find out this happens no matter what you do? BOO!

But yeah... with all that said... this game is amazing. This series is easily my favorite ever. End of story.

Eh, I don't mind thinking that Shep was a closet homo.

I always felt Kaiden was a little Questionable.... Compared to Ashley.

So how about that thresher maw and the reaper ;>

Also I won't lie I tried to do a second play through where I let the geth win but talis death made me cry lol

I did a renegade and paragon play through in ME2 and did the same in ME3. I chose Steve in my paragon and Kaidan in my renegade. I have to say I think Steve and Shep had more chemistry of the 2 couples, although you seem to get a little more physical with Kaidan than you do with Steve.

I am pretty pissed about how none of your ME2 squad mates were playable (aside from those from ME1). And I really hated how they "included" Morinth in this game when everyone else made at least a proper cameo. I thought she was one of the more interesting characters if you chose to save her.

Also with all the Mass Relay's exploding, wouldn't that mean a lot of species would ultimately die off anyway considering they all rely on the relay's to get their resources?

Yeah that made no sense. One of the significant plot points in ME3 was when Shepard was put on trial for the event in the last game (The Arrival DLC). Destroying one mass relay wiped out an entire solar system. It's convenient how they forgot that.

LATE!

Just wanted to put my two cents in and say the ending was definitely lame. And I do really hope that what I've been reading and hearing about Bioware releasing a DLC regarding an alternate ending is true, because...yeah. Bioware, you guys did pretty bad there.
