I just read that FDA is considering MDMA trials for PTSD sufferers! I wonder what the severity of the PTSD needs to be? I feel like just about everyone I know has some level of PTSD.
Then again, I am also in support of micro-dosing psychedelics like psilocybin. I've not personally micro-dosed, however I've known a couple of associates who SWEAR that psilocybin micro-dosing has helped them.

I worked in Hospitality industry as a Restaurant Manager for most of my working career, and I always seemed to have 1-3 employees who were diagnosed with PTSD. Ex-military, Vets. It might be because of the proximity to military base here. Not sure...

Nope. I'm previously a Restaurant Manager and obtained a position at a mental health facility.
Now PSTD is just an additional symptom to the health concerns our patients are experiencing.
My comment was tongue-in-cheek. I have been surrounded by engineers at work for four decades, and not a sane one among 'em.

PTSD is the new autism/bipolar/none-binary/etc etc. It is trendy to 'suffer' with it
Exactly. It makes them better victims. I'm sure psychiatrists are cashing in by diagnosing it more freely than ever.

I think to some degree, that may be accurate, but like anything else, there are those who truly are 'triggered' by situations because, (MY OPINION is that we, in society, are not prepared to help heal emotional, mental trauma.

No we're not but at least we're not throwing people off cliffs anymore.

My father and my friends and colleagues who are engineers are amongst the sanest people I know.

I'm sure engineering happens in the best of families. But it is rarely discussed in public.
