This is going to be the new toilet icons.

No. I say 'NO!'

No,
that drawing the female wearing skirt or dress, thats why it look like that

It's the severed heads that worry me. In any case, surely there are already M and F symbols for toilets? They've been in use on signposts and toilet doors for decades.

Why not use pictures of penises and vajayjays?

This one is better and clearer

I thought that this was the universal sign for toilets that every nationality understood; at least it is how they are indicated at airports.

I see no need to change them either.

Sorry David, but its been a long long time since you have read a map clearly! The old sign on a map for a toilet was the letters PC, rather than of a man and women. The reason behind the design they have picked here is because it is in keeping with all the new designs for OS maps.

They are not going to be putting these on signs everywhere, just on maps to clear up where public toilets are!

^ Thank you; I was mislead by the OP.

You are quite right in that reading maps is something I did long ago in my dim distant youth. :D

I do believe in those days it was marked "WC" on the map. I used to use the maps to find the toilets in each town so that I could go cruising (cottaging). There were no "apps" in those days to tell us where the best places to cruise were; it was a matter of trial and error.

Mrs. Slocombe: One dear old lady customer of mine got a terrible shock. She was caught short and walked straight through the door marked "Herren".

Captain Peacock: You should have directed her to the door marked "Damen".

Mrs. Slocombe: I didn't have time. She saw the word "Her" and was off!

Mr. Grainger: And I'm here to tell you that she won't make the same mistake again.

I like the idea of a young David confusing his friends and family by knowing fine details of street plans of most local towns because of you dedicated commitment to cruising. Was it the case that every toilet was at it back in the day or did you have to check each one?

I think the assumption is premature.

Maybe women have shorter torsos, NOT longer arms.

It's the same problem men in drag have. The proportions of their hands give them away. :p

Airports, bus stations and train stations were all worthwhile for a quick wank with someone. All the ones I visited regularly were extremely active and I must admit to never having used, in my youth that is, a "WC" where I wasn't satisfied, even in small towns.

It may sound slightly disgusting to some but that was all that was available to a horny 18 yr old in those days.

Neil, ARE you being served?

Mr. Humphries: "I'm FREE!"
