I just got through listening to an interesting interview of the movie director, Todd Stephens on the podcast, Ramble Redhead (http://rambleredhead.blogspot.com/).

Stephens directed the recently released movie, Another Gay Movie. At the end of the interview he mentions that he met his partner of 21 years when he was 17 years-old. I believe Stephens partner was 20 at the time they met.

That is so phenomenal to me. Does anyone know of anyone who is with his current partner who met each other at such a young age?

Sort of reminds one of the film "Love Story" - "Love means never having to say you are sorry.

There was a lesbian couple on my old street who met each other as nurses in the second World War. They had been together ever since.

there may be many, but

since they have each other

they might not need anything more

they might be hard to find

My Partner and I started living together two weeks after his 19th birthday. I was 29 and we were together for 20 years. Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of his passing. I still think of him and miss him every day.

Thanks for letting us know. We certainly need to hear about the great success stories. It is so hard to find a romantic partner at an early age for straights, but for gays it seems like lottery-winning kind of odds.
