Most gay films (excepting STAR-studded Brokeback Mtn-types) end up going straight to DVD anyway - the theaters know they won't draw very big crowd$.

Hence why so many gay movies end up tagging on obscure D-listers to headline with, that way a few more consumers MIGHT consider taking a peek.

I would say it's sad, but it's really just kind of a statistical/minority thing, I guess.

Actually, I find that the delivery of the usual cliches that plague most 'gay' films looks rather refreshing in this films. Not only by Mindy, but by the other actors too!

I might enjoy this film more than the average 'straight to DVD' gay themed film

Can't stop watching this. I think Mindy would make a great Beulah Ballbuster if there were ever to be a "Porky's" remake.

True but there are "art house" cinemas that show these movie.

If you watch the beginning of the trailer, look at the group of guys huddled together in the bar. I'm pretty sure the guy of the far right is Randy Jones from The Village People.
