A couple of weeks ago me and Trawler69 got a bit bored so decided to visit our local PCWorld. Anyone tech savvy enough will know how shit they are and the staff haven’t got a clue what they are talking about. The “Tech Guys” are just as bad.
So we decided we were going to have a bit of fun in there... We went on to one of the computers and searched the internet for a picture of a BSOD, we then hid the desktop items, hid the start menu and set the BSOD picture to the desktop background:
It was quite amusing watching people going up to it and reading the BSOD
We also had a look around for the worst deals we could find:
Number One
As you will know, a lot of new computers no longer ship with a Restore Disk to restore back to factory settings, they pre-install the software and you have to create them yourself. This great deal is a nice DVD box with 3 blank DVDs in. The price.....£15!!!..... Yes that is £15 for 3 blank disks. £5/disk.
Number Two
When you buy a printer a lot of them don’t come bundled with a USB cable. What is needed is a simple USB A to USB B cable. On eBuyer you can get one of these for £0.90. In PCWorld they cost £14.99!
Anyone have any PCWorld (Or other computer shop) related stories?
