We just saw "This is it" and it was a great look into what would have been a seriously awsome concert. The footage was fantastic and genuine. It was a huge loss of his talent.

You also get a gift when you purchase the ticket, that's a surprise for you. Dont want to spoil it.

But it was more than worth the $7.00 to see it. And it's only here for 2 weeks.

Hope the Mj fans like it....

I saw it this afternoon. All I can say is the people who had tickets to those London concerts were in for the show of their lives. Even just the rehearsal footage featured in this film is absolutely electrifying.

And it didn't hurt that pretty much all of MJ's male backup dancers were hot as hell. :=D:

They've submitted the movie for Oscar consideration. And they're pushing it for Best Picture.

I once heard a band manager say "I could do such amazing things with this band if this band weren't here to fuck it up." Now that Michael Jackson can't fuck things up, it's amazing how good Michael Jackson looks.

I really want to see it. I might go see it today if boredom persists.

Had they managed to get the movie out a bit earlier, it would've been eligible for the Best Documentary award. And that one would've been a shoo-in. As for Best Picture? With the new "ten nominees" thing happening, I'd say it's nearly guaranteed a slot for Best Picture nomination. Winning will be an uphill battle, but I know some people will feel the need to "honor a major talent that we've lost" by pushing for it.

If Crash can win best Picture, this certainly can. I mean, it's just some past-it, drugged up, has been with a creepily-dedicated following on his attempted comeback tour rehearsal.

But considering Madonna has also been considered for an Oscar, why not Train Wreck Jackson?

Your under the mistaken belief that this was a 'concert movie'. The trailer shows 'behind the scenes' which would not be in a 'concert movie'

What this is is the production company paying millions of bucks and having pretty much nothing to show for it but rehearsal footage. This was never planned as a film release, this was the bonus features on the DVD.

but with no tour, no live footage and therefore no concert film, no live album or 3 years in residence in Vegas, this is their only way to recoup their considerable losses.

I'm sure it's a fun watch and I've heard great things.

but this isn't "It," this is "all we've got to work with."

Saw this movie and loved it! Thoroughly enjoyed it and yes the tour would have been grand if had happened. He was a talented man! Such a loss......
