Well, in my experience, having regularly worked out at 24 Hour Fitness for over 10 years now, mostly in the mornings, he is only the second guy I have ever seen do this. Ever. So maybe other parts of the country are more modest in the locker room than southern California? Any comments, anybody?
So, taking all this in, I head to the sinks to start my shave. The sink area, which has a large mirror, is immediately outside the shower room . At this point I'd like to thank whoever designed this locker room! Oh my, the things you see while standing at those sinks. Anyway, while shaving, Freckled Guy walks out of the shower naked as a jay bird, dries off in the middle of the room, then walks back to his locker without covering up. His locker is at the far end of the room, so I get a good view whilst shaving. He rumages through his locker looking for something, then walks back to the sink area (still buck naked) and takes the sink next to me to brush his teeth!!! It's here that I get a really good view of his body hair and his lean, very defined body. While he is brushing his teeth, another guy who apparently knows him comes up to him and starts talking to him- "I didn't know you worked out here?, etc....." Freckled Guy all of a sudden seems slightly embarassed and uncomfortable. You can just sense it. I understand the feeling. It's one of the things about locker room nudity that fascinates me- the psychology and sociology of it all. I'm very comfortable with being naked in locker rooms (obviously) but in certain situations I am less comfortable. I am totally comfortable with strangers, or guys who are regulars and I've talked to before. I'm also comfortable with friends or relatives (more on this later) but not at all comfortable with being naked in front of casual acquaintances. One time at my old gym, I was walking to the shower naked when a guy that I worked with crossed paths with me in the locker room. We were not close at work, and we were both a little surprised.
