i think the two movies that should have sent red flags flying for my parents was Xanadu and the Pirate movie(kristi Mc nichol and kristopher adkins). I to this day still love these movies. cant get much gayer than that.as much as i watched them as a teen. it shouldnt have been a big shock that was gay. i guess for this generation its probably moulin rougue and chicago.are there any movies that make you think OMG i'm gay?

ROFL! The Pirate Movie--that brings back memories! My neighbor and I watched that about 50 times, knew all the words and the lyrics. Little did I know at the time that she was a lesbian, and little did she know that I was gay. Looking back now, we were watching for exactly the same reasons, and totally different ones at the same time. :)

I didn't learn I was gay from that movie, but I sure as hell collected more proof to that effect.

Um, wow...I just noticed I'm now a porn star! No longer a slut! Woohoo!

The Little Mermaid. I was obsessed as a kid. I wrapped blankets around my legs to "be a mermaid". In fact, all the 'Disney Princess" movies had that effect on me.

I cant think of any, but I am sure I may have tipped people off by the fact that I loved watching movies like My Fair Lady, Wizard of Oz and Cleopatra.

Earliest signs came from a single show for me, Barney and Friends. I was so obsessed with Baby Bop. I even had the Baby Bop doll and played with it's green hair all the time.

The movie that sealed the deal for me was Bring It On. It came out when I was in the eighth grade when I got my first crush on a guy (who looked like Justin Timberlake, afro era). I memorized all the cheers and lines to the movie and went around pretending I was a (female) cheerleader.

lol I had that on VHS when I was a kid, sung the words and everything. Bought it on DVD recently and enjoy watching it.

I came out to my parents after we saw Brad Pitt in SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET. It wasn't necessarily the movie that initiated it, but a coversation later.

Growing up it was THE WIZARD OF OZ... I'd have my mom rent that every weekend and I memorized all the words.

Superman. Man in trunk. What can I say. I was a kid.

Snow White. I was amazed by 'Someday My Prince Will Come'. What can I say, I was a kid.

Flashdance. Not that I wanna date Jennifer Beals. I wanted her sexiness to attract men.

The first gay film I saw was Derek Jarmen's Sebasitiane when I was about 11 or 12 and I knew from that I was attracted to men as there were so many naked men in it and the scene with the two guys frolicing naked in the pool was such a turn on. Not that the film made me come out.

Waiting to Exhale. I was 16 when that movie came out. When Donald Faison (Scrubs) was caught by his mother getting dick sucked by that white girl, I was like, "that lucky bitch!" And of course I wanted to play Bernadine so much -- especially in the opening scene when her husband tells her he's leaving her.

"Now you wait a minute! I give you eleven FUCKING years of my life and you're telling me you're leaving me for a white woman?"

"Would it be better if she were black?"

"No -- it would be better if YOU were black!"

Die Mommie Die.

And the Family Values Tour '98 video. Rammstein's performance during "Buch Dich" did something for me.

I know the exact moment I realized I was gay. I was watching a movie called "Robinson Crusoe On Mars". The lead actor, Paul Mantee, stripped and jumped into a pool. At that moment, I knew.

I don't think there are too many guys out there who were in their teenage years and would quote lines from "Steel Magnolias" with his mum. I guess that indicates something.

I also had a morbid fascination with "Deliverance" and anything starring Mickey Rourke or Richard Gere.
