I just made a laundry room in one of my apartment buildings. This building has 5 apartments. Part of my effort in providing all the necessary day-to-day life amenities to all my rentals.

Unfortunately, the only space available to create this laundry room is in the very front of the building. Even though it has a basement, the basement does not extend that far to the front. There is about 30 feet or so of very small crawlspace. How small? When I'm on my belly crawling around in there, my back was scraping against the beams fo the floor above. Had to run a 3 inch pvc pipe for draining for the washers, orange wires for the dryers, and yellow wires for the washers. The problem was the crawlspace was already filled with old style boiler cast iron pipes. So, I had to maneuver around those pipes. While the wires could go through those old pipes, the pvc drain pipe was a different story. In order to maintain a pitch for proper flow, there was only 1 pathway. And there was a choke point that the 3 inch couldn't get through between the brick wall and a fucking cast iron pipe.

I had to chip away enough of the brick to get the pipe through. So, there I was on my belly with my back up against the beam above. My arms fully extended in front of me to get to that position. Held a hammer. There was not enough room to utilize my arm, so all I could do was move my wrist back and forth to chip away at the goddamn brick. Took about an hour to get that part. The whole thing lasted may be 12 hours or so to do.

As I am typing this on my laptop, my right wrist is killing me. Anybody want to come and give me a wrist massage?

Sorry I can't. My wrists are killing me from my working my huge jack hammer.

Perhaps you should see an optometrist.

Sorry. I've got a metal plate screwed to my wrist. You're on your own.

Invest in a good drill bit to do the work for you to open the hole.
