So, friday night me and this new guy i have been talking to since sept but just started seeing around christmas went to go see Pan's Labyrinth. Good movie, not really a romantic movie in the normal sense, but this guy is perhaps just as crazy as I am.

Anyway, we came back, and things started moving really quickly (we have kinda been going slow for the past few weeks) and it suprised me a bit, mostly because i am totally dating out of my league (which is always a bit worrysome. He's a 21 year old personal trainer, and I am occationally worshipped by buddhists.) and totally unprepared for it (which made for some really funny moments, including a 5 minute lube hunt while he laughed at me searching in this drawer and that cabinet and swearing i had seen it just yesterday... anyway, here is my problem

My room does not really block sound, which i have known for awhile because of being woken up several nights to the tv or people in the kitchen or drunk people stumbling in. I have 4 roommates so it happens, and i can fall asleep pretty easily, so not an issue. However, I didn't realize until about 30 min into our little adventure that this effect worked both ways. We paused for a second to hear one roommate say "Yeah i think something's going on in there" followed by laughing and giggling on the other side of my door. So, i decided to put on some music and found myself woefully unprepared with anything that really fits the mood, and ended up played Cirque du Soleil's Delerium, which was pretty good, but still....

So now I am working on a playlist for what I am hoping will be several repeat preformances. So far I have:

1. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Maps"
2. Suzanne Vega "Caramel"
3. Moby "Find my baby"
4. Metric "The Twist"
5. Garbage "You look so fine (Fun loving criminals remix)"
6. Jem "Come on closer"
7. Cirque du Soleil "Let Me Fall"
8. Iron & Wine "Naked as we came"
9. Goldfrapp "Number 1"

So, any suggestions? Any of these seem like horrible songs? :help: Last time we were.... busy... from about 1:30 until around 3:30, so i think this list on loop would get a little repetative. I don't know, i have found a lot of other ideas from friends and online, but this is the one part i am still struggling with a bit. This was my first time sleeping with someone i really had deep feelings for, and he is totally sold on me for some reason, and if I don't shut up soon my roommates are going to beat me (as they have put it, friday night i was a 22 year old man and saturday morning i was a 14 year old school girl) if obsess over this anymore.

thanks!

P.S. :luv::luv2::luv::wow: :luv2: :luv: :luv2:

Daft Punk - Something About Us*
Frank Sinatra (or anyone) - Moon River*
Diana Krall - Besame Mucho*
Franz Ferdinand - Come On Home*
The Fugees - Killing Me Softly*
Gwen Stefani - The Real Thing or The Real Thing (Bonus), which is the un-techno version
Hedwig and the Angry Inch - The Origin of Love

Liz Phair - Why Can't I
Teddy Thompson - I Don't Want To Say Goodbye
Jackie Green - I Will Never Let You Go

Brazilian Girls - Lazy Lover*
Alison Moyet - What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life
The Bee Gees - How Deep Is Your Love

Some of them may be too heavy for early dating stuff, but these are my 'happy love song' picks.

As for sex music...well, I have yet to put that list together...

EDIT: On further review, I've starred the ones that are less smoochy romantic and more kind of fun or mellow, songs

I can't help. I never tried music with sex or anything romantic...

Here's a Sex Tunes I compiled a while ago, haven't used it yet:

1. One evening - Feist
2. And then we kiss (Junkie xl mix) - Britney Spears
3. Slippin' - Toby Lightman
4. Feelin' Love - Paula Cole
5. Slow - Kylie Minogue
6. Waiting for tonight (Hex's Momentous Radio mix) - Jennifer Lopez
7. Inside and Out - Feist
8. Ride a white horse - Goldfrapp
9. Melt with the sun - Amber
10. Hot Stuff - Pussycat Dolls

14. My torture - Esthero
15. Crush - Dave matthews band
16. The Real Thing (Wendy and lisa flow jam mix) - Gwen Stefani
17. Sexual (Afterlife chillout remix) - Amber

I'd say that Scissor Sisters' first album has some great songs to throw on your list, too. Particularly, "Lovers int he Back Seat" comes to mind.

I was just about to say Lovers in the Backseat.

Other suggestions:
Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out of My Head
Massive Attack - Teardrop
Justin Timberlake - My Love (even though it's about a woman.)
Gwen Stefani - Luxurious
Air - Sexy Boy; All I Need; Venus
Freezepop - Emotions & Photons
Goldfrapp - Utopia
Bjork - Possibly Maybe

Also...

Pansy Division - Bunnies
Pansy Division - He Whipped My Ass In Tennis

They're this great 90's to present gay pop punk ground I found out about! They're songs are all from gay perspectives. They have some really funny, sexy songs.

Zero 7 is awesome, i just got one of their albums on the advice of a friend and added about half of it to my mix.

He's sleeping over tonight! I am taking deep breathes and trying to get back to sleep, but no luck. i have been drifting in and out of conciousness for the past 6 hours. I know i shouldn't fret since last time happened completely at a whim, but still. I want this night to be near perfect. Going ice skating, coming back here for dinner, some wine, Little Miss Sunshine DVD, and then whatever... I haven't seen him since saturday, i miss him. now how sad does that sound? I am all swooning and what not. tsk tsk, never fall in love, it is worth too much trouble no matter how good it feel.

ok, back to day dreaming

WHAT?!? I have yet to see anyone post any Nine Inch Nails, the entire "The Downward Spiral" is some hot shit to fuck to.. Industrial is good for that.. let's see..
