So, anyone like musicals? I'm planning on seeing "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," with a couple of friends... we plan on taking pictures with Daniel Radcliffe afterwards. If that doesn't happen, I will come back subsequent weekends for the opportunity o.o

Anywho, I was first introduced to musicals when my parents wanted to watch "The King and I." A couple of years later, my aunt got us tickets for "Cats." I've seen a couple of other musicals, and missed out on quite a few. So, um...yeah... anyone planning on seeing one this summer?

I'm going to see Stephen Sondheim's "Follies" at the Kennedy Center in a few weeks. Bernadette Peters and Elaine Paige are starring.

It's the first full staging of this musical since its original Broadway production forty years ago.

Well, I live in Kansas City, MO. We have Starlight. They host national tours and self produce.

I saw The King and I and 9 to 5 there...The rest of the season includes Guys and Dolls, Cinderella, Mamma Mia, and Xanadu.

In the past at Starlight, I saw Legally Blonde, Anything Goes, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago, Mamma Mia, Little House on the Prairie, Dreamgirls, Beauty and the Beast, The Producers, and RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles.

This summer (other that Starlight) I saw: The Odd Couple, Let's Do it (Cole Porter Concert), and The Sound of Music.

I am going to see: Aida and The Fantasticks.

I the past (besides Starlight) I've Seen: Annie, Curtains, The Wizard of Oz, Dialogues of the Carmelites, The King and I, Don Giovanni, and The Drowsy Chaperone.

I can not say enough how obsessed I am with Spring Awakening, no other play has effected me so deeply.

I also recently saw Next to Normal, it was very good, really gut wrenching as well.

I've seen Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and Jersey Boys. Loved them all.

I have never seen a musical. Isn't that sad?

Nope, not sad. If given the chance, though, try it one time :)

I love the music from Spring Awakening. I've never seen the show, but I was obsessed with their performances on the Tony's and whatnot.

Gotta add my love for Spring Awakening as well. I saw it once on Broadway, then again 3 times on tour!

Young Frankenstein
Saturday Night Fever
Cats
Fame
The Sound Of Music

My friend was rambling to me about that movie Burlesque the other day. There was one good song (on the entire soundtrack he insisted we listen to ).
