God, if that was her being nice, I'd hate to see her when she becomes a full on fucking bitch. She basically knew he was gay before the interview, ambushed him and then threw in some lovely emotional blackmail and manipulation.

On an interesting note it is interesting to see the difference in JP from Survivor to this, could he actually have mellowed and become a better person rather than a demanding control freak, or was it just reality TV messing with reality?

It's kind of the whole point of the magazine. Their cover models are almost always "Regular Queer Joes" (who just happen to be gorgeous as fuck). I think in their 10 years in publication, they've only had 4 female cover models (Gwen S, Beyonce, Gwen again...and I don't know who else). But the concept is that the male covers are all gay. Straight models on the covers of Advocate/Out/etc is actually a huge source of annoyance for many gay men and lesbians--at least according to the published Letters to the Editor of those publications.

Instinct, btw, is one of the few mags I actually subscribe to. I love it. Except this month's issue. Snooze.
