My friend and I have known each other since we were roommates a few years ago and we quickly became good friends. Most recently we had a heart to heart were he stated he considers me his best friend and he even made me the best man to his upcoming wedding. Last night him and I, his finance, and the other couple were all hanging out at his place and after everyone left and his finance went to sleep we started talking (he was drunker than I was). He also casually threw in that they had a foursome together a few weeks ago upstairs to my surprise. He already knows that I’m sexually open but he also knows that I’m not into bdsm and on top of that I’m currently single. My bf’s finance and I get along well and she told me earlier on that she had a crush on me and that she likes black men (also one night while she was drunk) but nothing ever happened beyond some playful flirtation which my friend is aware of and he knows it’s nothing serious.

As I said before he and I have grown close with each other very quickly and we just recently started having more and more open conversations with each other about relationships and sex but hearing about him and another couple having sex together kinda has me butt hurt (no pun intended). I feel like having a threesome with your best friend and his girl or vice versa is pretty common and is a good bonding experience but we’ve never actually taken it that far, even though there’s been numerous occasions where it could have happened. Again, I’ll admit I haven’t actually put it out there that I was interested in doing something with them mostly because I don’t know how I would fit in with their “rountine” given that I’m not into what they’re into and even if we all did hookup I think just watching them do it and maybe join in would still be kinda awkward.

My best friend is getting married soon so I know he and his finance probably will have more group sessions with other married couples which definitely won’t include me. It does make me feel left out and part of me wants to be into what they’re into so maybe a threesome would’ve happened by now but I’m not sure if it’s going to happen at all. My bf is a pretty smart guy and if he knows me as well as I think he does I’m sure he read my face when he told me about them having sex with another couple but I don’t know if I should even mention this to him or not or if I should just let it go and accept that it just might not happen. Honestly, if I had a fiancee and I was going to have a foursome with another couple, I think it would be more likely to not be someone close. I'd keep that separate from my close friendships. But's that's just me?

I know they would probably rather risk losing the other couple as friends than me since we're all pretty close but I don't think it would become awkward between us.. I've seen their setup, whips, chains, and toys.. that was awkward enough lol. I just hope their lack of interest isn't because of me. Like I said, we've been talking more and more about sexual experiences and maybe the topic will come up again I just don't know if I should pursue it or not.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't think too much into it.

There is probably something that they naturally like in having a foursome (i.e. balance, dynamic, etc), or it just didn't occur to them. Sometimes, things are best as they fall into place withoug too much thought into it.

Well his fiancee makes it no secret that shes into girls and though I don't think he's bi I do think he'd be open to a threesome with a guy as long as the girl is involved (like most guys). They invited me up to their bedroom last night and as I was sitting on the bed she was lying in her underwear in front of me.. I couldn't help but look while we talked but that's all that happened... I think they're testing me or at least she is but I do think the fact that we're all friends is stopping anything from happening.. at least for now.
