  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

My buddy needs our support

MOnday morning.
He is better, but still in pain. They are trying to manage his pain pump better.
they figure he will remain at the hospital till at least friday, then back home on a pump. Poor kid. I love him so much.

Thanks everybody.

In my thoughts and in my prayers.

May Derek and his family find comfort and strength in our loving God!

May Derek, his family, his friends and medical staff, find all the knowledge, love and peace needed to get thru this most difficult time.

thank you again evrybody. Can't have enough well wishes and prayers. He also deserves it and a better life.

Elvin, Derek is the love of my life and has been since i met him at 3. He knows and loves me dearly. Thanks

More prayers from here, too. Please keep us posted on his progress.

Derek is still in the hospital, 5 surgeries total. He is finally pretty much rid of the infections, the healing can now begin. He is still cut from the neck to his groin, and has been a trooper throught all of this.

They are going to operate again this thursday and if all goes well, we can take him home the following week. I feel so badly for the kid, and love him dearly.

Thank you everybody for your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, Dynk, for keeping us aware of what is going on. I had wondered of everything was going well.

I will continue to pray for a speedy recovery. Derek is one strong kid.

I just sent off a prayer right now for Derek and all his loved ones.

I prayed for healings and I wish him the best.

You are an angel, Paul!

Times like these are not made for atheists. But I do sincerely hope for a medical breakthrough that will help him. Sounds to me like the MD's are doing all they can. You can tell him that a lot of people wish him well and are pulling for him.

However--being an atheist does not prevent us from crying, as I am now, at the drop of a hat. A kid that age should be spared this kind of trauma.

I wrote he needs our support just so atheists can participate. Prayers are not the only thing that help. The power of concentration works sometimes also.

Thank you all again.

I glad this popped up to the top of the list with a recent post - I must have missed it. I'll keep this little guy in my thoughts and prayers.

I've been wondering how he's doing also. Glad to hear it sounds as if he's on the right track.

Love + prayer + positive thinking can do wonders.

:-)

Derek Came home yesterday. I have pictures but can not post them here since he is only 15. Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers.

He entered Children's hospital on Aug 17 long stay, and we almost lost him twice. I am going to see him again after dinner and Thank you all again.
