For some time now, my CD burner has been ruining CD´s when burning them. Even tho they don´t have any data on them, they still appear as they are full  I did some research on the net, and maybe its the speed of the burning (I lowered it, and have burned two CD, and no problem).

Any idea on how to salvage a ruined CD???

Thanks (*8*)

^ almost a zero chance

btw-- how much $$$ are CD-Rs where u r ?

The only time I've encountered this was when I bought a spindle of cheap-ass cds. 1 in 4 were coasters.

once a cd burner has written (garbage or not) to a CD-R (not a CD-RW) it's history. If it's no good then just trash it.

btw-- you never said which brand of Burner you have? Generally, Plextor are worth the $$ and live up to their hype. I've had them all, my Plextor PX-716A has never made a coaster (now it will) and i've used all sort & price CD/DVDs.

I can vouch for this Plextor recommendation. I've owned a few of their models over the years (upgraded models to keep up with technology, or cosmetics, not from needing to replace due to failure or wear) and they've always performed excellently for me. I had that PX-716A and now I'm on a PX-755A. ..|
