Important lessons from you guys:
a). I wasn't taking him seriously enough. I need to stop giggling while saying he shouldn't do this, in fact I need to call him out harder.
b). I'll flat out say I don't like it at all and I don't want to hear this kind of brag (what Kara said).
c). I'll keep away as much as possible especially when it comes to friend's BF. I'm not taking part in any of this.
Now, I stand in my decision to not interfere. It's best not to. Although I know my friend can be an asshole, I still love him (it's a friendship going for several years)...
The question about whether to tell the boyfriend caused a bit of controversy on both sides but the decision about whether to interfere is ultimately yours to make.
At the very least, if you feel strongly about what your friend is doing- whether out of concern for his health or the health of his boyfriend or just because you think cheating is wrong- you are right to speak up. If a friend can't call you out when you're doing something stupid, then who can?
