My first ever pot noodle was had at university. My mother would never have allowed that sort of thing in her kitchen! I thought it was revolting and, to this day, I've never tried a second.

Before I'm accused of being unadventurous, racist or whatever, let me add that I regularly eat and enjoy "proper" noodles. There's a Thai restaurant in Birmingham which serves delicious green curry and with which I always order noodles. If I have to name a favourite, currently that's it.

I hate to be that guy who ruins it for everybody but that ad is a lie. Pot noodles are a heavily processed food. The more of it you eat, the less you're likely to live.
