I was twelve years old the first time I saw this, and I knew - Gina was for me!

As I watch this I fall in love all over again, Gina's singing bringing back the world of my youth from 1971.

I apologize for the poor audio quality, and the sound track quickly goes out of sync - but I hope you agree with me that Gina Lollobrigida is timeless!

 
She resembled Liz Taylor in some of those profile shots. I thought I remembered her as an actress.

My own Boy Crush was Sophia Loren.

I would have gone (almost) straight for her.
 
I have Sophia Loren's cookbook, autographed.

My friend in Albuquerque who owned the winery was widowed by her last husband, who had been a professional chef. He had the book. And I was always taking my friend this or that hot dish or desserts, so she gave me some of his pans and the cookbook before she moved away to Dallas.

Loren is a very good cook.
