My testicles hurt

Not masturbating can cause issues for some men(i.e. pain or swollen testes). But, dont leave it to us here----SEE A DOCTOR.

Acute pain in the testicles can indicate decreased circulation to the testicle or epididymitis. The pain described as "blue balls" is more of a dull ache, not an acute pain.

You should make an appointment with your doctor. If the pain is continuous or is increasing you should go o to the emergency room.

Agree with Karabulut.... if it is sudden onset, esp just after waking, you should go to the doctor or ER ASAP... if you have a torsion, time is very important to save it. We can't diagnose it here.

omg i get this sometimes... it depends how long you have it. i say if it lasts more than a week then to get it checked out. usually for me it goes away but while you have it i know that it is a pain, literally... its hard to walk. give it some time... u could try masturbating but it might not do anything. i get it about once every three months and i do the exams too to check for cancer but i have never been to the doctor... give it time!

Pay attention to jockboy01's advice.

I you are suffering from torsion, you have a major problem that could lead to the "death" of a testicle due to the loss of blood to that orb.

Your doc may refer you to a urologist who may specialize in treatment.

You can Google torsion to find good information on that malady.

Call a doctor NOW.

Thanks for the update. Glad that's what it was.... still good to get it taken care up and yes, ultrasound is the test of choice for torsion. Glad it was just an infection. But glad you got some medicine for it... they can get really nasty if you let them go.
