Attached in this message is a screenplay I originally wrote in 2007 that was entered into an online contest - only the first, second, and third place were announced, of which my entry was not (which means it could have been 4th place or 130th, who knows), but I thought it was worth sharing.
All screenplays have a log line, a one sentence description of the plot designed to get someone interested in reading it. Here is mine:
"18 year old high school senior Nathan Parks finds it more and more difficult to maintain his self-induced isolated, anti-social persona when Beau, a young man immune to Nathan's cruel attitude towards other people, moves in next door, forcing Nathan to finally confront the tragic motives behind his cynical and reclusive way of life."
The story is not pornographic, and contains only one non-explicit sex scene (if that deters you from reading, oh well). This document is copyrighted (I even have the little copyright certificate from the Library of Congress - it's really cool), so, legally, reading it is the only thing that can be done with it. I love criticism (how else am I going to know how to make it better). If you like it, great, if you hate it, even better, but if you're going to tell me you hated it, I ask that you please tell me why. The document is in standard screenplay format, which makes for an easy and quick read, and I'll be happy to explain any of the abbreviated notations that may cause some confusion, but most are self explanatory.
Hope you enjoy it if you read it.
