Alrighty guys...quick question.

If you are in a monogomous/serious/trusting relationship, and my boyfriend has played it safe in his prior relationships, is it necessary to wear a condom while having anal sex? I mean I'm STD free and so is he, so what is the necessity to be protected? I guess what I'm trying to say is, we're both clean so what are we being protected from?

If you're sure you're both clean, then you're fine. You shouldn't have to wear one.
Although, I have heard it is very very slightly possible to catch Hepatitis, but apparantly that is EXTREMELY rare, and I don't even know if it's true, or if I believe it.

I once asked my doctor if you are in a monogomus relationship can you have sex without condoms. He told me if both partners have tested for at least 6 months as negative, yer, but, he also reminded me that this would also have to be guaranteed by both partners that they are not ever having sex with others, so go from there.

This is true, get tested from at least 6 months from the last contact and go from there. My BF and I do not wear protection for the above reasons, however we have been tested (9 months) prior to taking it off.

I trust him dearly, and If I ever got anything I know who is came from, and who to kill.

:grrr:

There's a lot of threads on these forums about cheating boyfriends. No one ever believes their boyfriend will cheat but somehow it seems to happen. :D

Everyone worries about HIV. But there's another really good reason to wear condoms- and that's urethritis and kidney infections. There's a lot of bacteria in your colon. It's needed for the functioning of your digestive system. It however can make you really sick if you get it in your urethra, your bladder or your kidney.

And if you ever have the pleasure of getting prostatitis, you'll understand why keeping bacteria out of your penis is a good thing.

So, yes--- wear a condom during anal sex. Better safe than sorry for many, many reasons

i go back and forth on the idea of barebacking..

its both hot, and gross.. impulsive.. dangerous.. hot..

>.<

i have nervous virgin syndrome though..

kara what are the odds of that happening?

Odds on what?

I can probably answer it this way- if I give you a gun and tell you that there's a bullet in one of the chambers, would you put it to your head and pull the trigger if I told you the odds were 1 in 6? How about 1 in 3? Or how about 1 in 10?

It doesn't matter what the odds are. Risk is risk. If you can avoid the risk, you should. The consequences are too great and there are too many people that you'll hurt when you make that one mistake.
