The new HBO show "Tell me you love me" is an interesting new show with loads of nudity, including full frontal.

First up is David played by Tim Decay who is in a sexless marriage
After his wife leaves the bed to take a shower David masturbates, he does it under the covers but after he cums he reaches for some tissues to clean up the mess he made.

Next is Hugo played by Luke Farrell Kirby, His sex scene with his wife is very hot, he drops his pants for a quick cock shot and then while he fucks his wife, with her on top, their are some interesting shots of his balls as she rides him.

Finally comes Palek, and I should spell that cums, his wife wants to have a baby but can't seem to conceive. A doctor suggests perhaps something is wrong with her husbands sperm. She decides to give Palek a hand job, she wants to see his sperm, his cock is fully visible and hard. As you watch her jackin him off she tells him "I wanna see it" speaking of his sperm, and low and behold we do, suddenly he gives out a grunt and we see the jizz splatter onto his shirt. Whew!

Pretty hot stuff for HBO, can't wait till next week

Below are pics of the guys, left to right

Adam Scott (Palek)

I wanted to start a thread about this myself, but could not figure out how to do it. I think this is one of the best shows on t.v. in terms of writing, acting and realistic sex scenes. Finally, a show that doesn't take the point of view that genitalia needs to be hidden. A body is a body. If it weren't meant to be seen naturally, why weren't we born with clothes? Kudos to the women who are responsible for this show and HBO for airing it.

Well said!

This is an article from the shows producer
Inside the Episode
With Executive Producer Cynthia Mort

Who in the f**k ever said you need to have sex every month or every week or twice a week, and if you don't there's something wrong with you?

There's a whole culture of fear we live in; everything is geared towards being beautiful and sexual. Writing the show, I thought of all of those people out there who are neither, and they're suffering because some magazine editor decided they should be having sex three times a week, and if they weren't, they were f**ked up.

There are so many great people with kids and families and lives who have amazing love for each other. Should whether they're having sex or not determine whether they're in a successful relationship?

With 'Tell Me You Love Me,' I really wanted to write a very spare, very intimate show about intimacy. I was interested in people who are in a relationship, yet so very lonely. They never thought of leaving their husbands or wives or boyfriends or girlfriends. But what happened? How do they get there?

In-Between Moments

I don't have any patience for artifice anymore, and I think people have a collective awareness of what's real, what's authentic. I wanted the moments on the show to play out, including what is unspoken in those moments. Because that's how you live -- people are not chattering non-stop. And if they are, they're irritating.

When you're in a relationship with somebody, more often it's about what's not said and what's hidden, and what comes to light and why it comes to light. I don't think you can have a show about intimacy without allowing those moments in between to play out.

It's somewhat voyeuristic, and that will make some people uncomfortable -- it made me uncomfortable watching at times. But I didn't want to turn away. And even if I did want to turn away, I wanted to come back. And that's the journey of the couples.

No Bailing on the Sex

When I was writing the pilot, I never thought about the amount of sex on the show, not once. Even when we shot some of those scenes in the pilot, scenes that were very intense and emotional. Not until I saw the footage did I realize what we were capturing. Then I thought, "Whoa. This is a lot." But we had many meetings about it. Sex is part of the language of intimacy. And just as I don't want to cut away in the therapy scenes, I don't want to cut away in these moments. It's not about the physical act. It's about the emotional act. Every sex scene, truly, is part of an existing scene. I was not willing to bail on any part of their stories, whether it was sex or therapy or a dinner party.

We figured out the best way to shoot the sex scenes, just like we figured out how to shoot the others, and whatever happened, happened. I was not going to cut away to the window and come back when they were finished and go, "Oh, that was great."

The audience is way too savvy for that. And it's a drag. It's irritating.

On Nudity

Everyone says I should have expected people to be up in arms about the sex. But I truly didn't expect the level of reaction. I don't find it shocking to see a guy's penis, within context. And as I said to the actors, nobody on this show will ever get up and walk across the room nude. That's not what I want to do. But I'm also not going to show two people having sex covered up by a sheet -- unless they're people who wouldn't be comfortable being nude.

See What Happens

When I really thought about the show, I realized I'm looking at one relationship, essentially. These aren't separate people who have been created brand-new. When you start off as two people who can't keep their hands off each other, how do you end up two people who can't touch each other? I really wanted to take apart everything that happened to these people and see where it started, and how they got there, and how they could come back.

I find the end of episode one hopeful, even uplifting, and that's important to what the show is. It is about love. No matter how f**ked up love is, it's about love.

I think the goal of any television show, movie, book or piece of music is to allow people to experience something, to open their eyes. I think if people come to 'Tell Me You Love Me' with their arms folded, saying, "This is not me. This is me," they'll miss a lot. I hope that people will open their arms and their eyes and just kind of check it out. See what happens.

I enjoyed the first episode immensely and found the nudity and graphic sex worked out. What I found perhaps the biggest departure from usual sexual content was the relationship of the therapist, played by Jane Alexander, and her husband. They are clearly people "of a certain age" and their chemistry and attraction for each other is obvious; sex is still very much part of their equation. I can't recall any other depiction of a 60ish woman lovingly giving her husband head. Kudos to HBO for another unflinching series that may make some folks uncomfortable due to both the subject matter and the presentation.

Thanks for bringing that up , I was remiss for not mentioning that tender moment in my opening post. I hope we continue to see more of that aspect of the show. The story really is about four couples.
Let me also menton the magnificent dialogue between
The therapist (Jane Alexander) and one of her patients regarding the latters sex life, or lack of it, to include things like masturbation and orgasm.
The show is so frankly and magnificently written.

I only saw a bit of it...my parents were watching it on demand the other night when I was kinda running around making dinner....but from what I saw...and what they said...it was boring...even the previews for next week bored me....ok yeah woohoo full frontal nudity....but if there isn't an interesting show to go with it then it doesn't really interest me....maybe I"ll sit down and watch the episode again give it a second chance

Yeah, give it a second look, I think you will get into it. ;)

damn they are some graphic scenes especially the riding one. it's not that i'm against it, it's just surprising to see stuff like that on TV. I hope HBO give it a chance though.

Yeah it's a bit of a break through all right. I have seen stuff like that on Showtime but not HBO. Bout time..|

I fell in love with Luk Kirby in " Mambo Italiano" He was so sexy in that movie.
Man I wish his character was gay. Since I don't have HBO I guess I can only wait until it comes out on DVD.

Hopefully all the buzz about the show will help it gain more viewers, otherwise it join "John From Cincinnati" on the dead show pile.

The show got off to a slow start Sunday night, averaging 910,000 total viewers.
The now cancelled "John From Cincinnati," averaged 3.4 million, but it did have the series finale of "The Sopranos" as its lead-in.

According to HBO, if you were to compare other shows to "Tell Me" it shows how poorly it did. "Big Love", for example did 4.6 million, "Rome" 4.6 million and "Deadwood" 5.8 million.

Our fun new show may not last long. :(

Another week and the hot stuff just keeps on coming

That show is amazing everything about it, I hope it doesn't get canceled, Hugo is sexy too :sex:

John from C sucked - I use past tense because I hope it is gone forever. We lost Deadwood for that?

Tell me is soft porn, which is ok, but the story has to pick up or it will go the same way as John from C did.

Yeah I saw a few episodes of John and didn't like it, Tell me you love me has potential but I agree things need to pick up however its only on the 2nd episode.

We need to give it time, I think the story lines are getting better. We are learning more about each couple every week, and questions are beginning to appear.

Why do David and his wife have such trouble with intimacy?
What is keeping Palek and his wife from having a baby, he does not even appear to be as intersted ih the idea as his wife is.
Hugo tells his wife he loves her but something is not quite right there, I think he has serious relationship isues.

I wish the show would move along a bit better, it seems to drag through the hour with not much advancement in the story lines. I hope that improves.

Programming notes: HBO gives 'Love' another shot

HBO’s new drama “Tell Me You Love Me” has generated decent buzz despite low ratings, and the network is betting that next season the buzz will translate to actual viewers. HBO said yesterday it has ordered a second season of the show,

I'm glad to hear it, I think the show is getting better each week.
