I just wanted to ask if you have seen American Idol surge? She was fantastic, definately the best singer that season. She sounds great live, I would say she definately CAN sing. Search for some of her performances on youtube, such as when she sang Alone by Heart. She is fantastic.
 
I have liked this song since the CD came out...I love the words and now I must see the video. I was afraid they were trying the angry Kelly Clarkson route when I first heard the song, but I love it and think she is a good singer. I am not a huge country fan, but I am learning!

As far as I know, she's not working on new material yet. This song is still from her first CD "Some Hearts" that dropped in the Fall of '05. It's sold over 3 million copies and counting.
 
I have no idea what most of the posts in this thread are about. I haven't seen Carrie's video for "Before He Cheats." Although I can NOT stand the type of country music she sings (formulaic, concocted in a record labels' studio, etc.), the girl definitely can sing!!! And I'm not just saying that because I'm from the same town as Underwood.

I don't like country music, but I thought the song was fun. I loved Carrie on AI. I agree that her performance of Alone was, by far, the best one of that season and one of the best from the entire series. I'm really glad she's doing so well.

Lol at being country, shes about as country as Madonna in a cowboy hat.

Yeah she can sing a little... but its not like you need to be able to sing nowadays, just look at Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake. :rolleyes:

Don't compare Carrie Underwood to fucking Britney and Justin, if you want proof she can sing, just watch some of her AI performances.
 
Great song and great video. Carrie Underwood is by far my favorite American Idol by far.

I know I voted for her at least 150 times last year during the finale alone.

If i compared Carrie to Britney or Justin she'd have nothing on them, career-wise - i was merely making the point that you don't have to be able to sing to actually sing and become famous from doing it. All you talk about is how she's an amazing singer, but most of the time thats not enough... that was my point, shes nothing special. :kiss:
