I mean now the hottest venue for dancing in most cities is at predominately gay establishments.......why, I've even over-heard the doormen asking people if they are gay or not.........and even telling them to kiss their male companion(s) to prove it!!! lol

NOT really; but it seems that people now want to be with the people who hang with the gay crowd........these kinds of people dress nice(er) and are the elite of the "IN" crowd, out there having fun, making money and living the style-life of never before...

SO.........why doesn't this acceptance go into the socio-political arena as well?

I have heard of 'straight mate'.

One of my very best friends is a straight guy. His a nice, friendly, easy going type of guy. Is quite happy socialising, or being dragged occassionally to gay places.

Me and my friends jokingly call him my 'Fag Dag'. He does not mind at all.
