Anybody remember this remake from 1990? To this day, it remains one of my favorite zombie films of all time -- along with 1985's camptastic "The Midnight Hour." It used to scare the shit out of me as a kid! The opening scenes in the graveyard, with everything being so peacful and the sky so blue... looks completely normal, then suddenly you see zombies walking around in the distance. It's the scariest sequence in the entire movie!

Those scenes with the zombies walking around in the daylight are the most petrifying, because it subconciously sends a message to not just be afraid of the dark -- be afraid ALWAYS, LoL.

I haven't seen it in ages, but I just stumbled across some clips and such of it on YouTube. So, I thought I'd share it with everyone else who loves the movie and hasn't seen it in forever, either.

CLIP 1: "They're Coming To Get You, Barbara"

CLIP 2: Theatrical Trailer

CLIP 3: Montage

CLIP 4: Featurette

Uh, I know that more people than just me love this film.

Show your love, damn it! I don't like my posts being ignored...

I WON'T BE IGNORED... DAN!!

Return of the Living Dead will always be my fav. Zombie Flick,. AMAZING

Is that a joke? LoL

I mean, really. Is that a joke?

That looked stupider than fuck to me.

But then again, I used to be a HUGE fan of "The Midnight Hour," another zombie-esque film from the 1980's. I believe it was made-for-TV, but wow, did I love it as a kid. So cheesy... soooo good. Check out this scene where everyone at the Halloween party is dying (their drinks were drugged, or something) and emerge as zombies in this rather interesting dance routine, LoL.

The remake of Night of the Living Dead was in my opinion better then the black and white version. You can pick up the remake on DVD. Just look for it in stores. Oh I liked the remake cause the characters were more fleshed out, the girl wasn't a complete moron like in the original version and the gore effects were amazing!!

Return of the Living Dead and Return of the Living Dead 2 are also really good movies that were made by some of the guys who made the original Night of the living dead. It was suppose to be an unofficial sequel to the B/W version.

All three movies are worth checking out!

I'm not kidding at all. That movie brings me back to being a kid and getting scared out of my mind watching it with my buddies. It's one of those movies that dosen't take itself seriously. Classic 80's flick. If you watch it expecting an amazing Zombie flick..well you're retarded. lol. Watching that trailer made me laugh. such a fun flick

P.S. It's a Horror Comedy.

I agree. Barbara kicks ass in the remake. Barbara in the original is annoying as piss. Get up and do something, bitch!

Plus, I just love the opening scenes in the graveyard. The fact that it's not all dark and rainy makes it even MORE scary. It's a bright, shiny, sunny day... birds are chirping, not a cloud in the sky. Who would expect the living dead to come out of their graves on a day like that? It provided such a strange ironic contrast that it made the sight of zombies walking around in the beautiful, sunny graveyard seem even that much MORE terrifying. Anyone agree?

I have the 1990 remake on DVD. I found both scores to the old and new one to be quite CORNY. But the only thing I found annoying in the 1990 was Judy Rose screaming like so fucking loud it just took the experience out of it. She did it too much in that movie.
