The play was fantastic.

Was it a play or musical? On Broadway with Raul Julia?

Saw it on Broadway. Not one of my favorite musicals. I'll probably wait for the DVD.

I think I prefer this version. I hope the movie is good.

It was ok, I was a bit disappointed in the movie. The music and the singing was great but that was it.

They're starting to pull it out of theaters.

Poor reviews. Poor word of mouth. Dismal box office.

There's a movie called "Nine" and an entirely different movie called "9" both released in 2009. So confusing.#-o

I kind of figured it had a good chance of flopping.

I mean, who was the potential audience ? Broadway fans and gay men, basically. And we only make up a small segment of the movie going public.

"Nine" is kind of obscure even for casual fans of musicals, and it doesn't have relatively well-known songs like "Chicago" has...

Plus, I'm sure to the casual eye "Nine" looks too much like "Chicago", anyway.

It was a great movie but it was boring...

Does that make sense?

The musical numbers were great but it lacked something in between them. It also seemed like they had used a huge cast of famous people to sell it because the movie wouldn't do well on it's own.

I really enjoyed it though and probably would have preferred watching it on DVD at home.

Everyone I know who's seen this wishes they had waited for netflix.
