We're supposed to hit 85°F (29.4°C) by Wednesday.

What the fucking fuck?
 
This past Thursday, we got rain, freezing rain, ice pellets, and snow (in that order) all within a few hours.
 
We have a whole week of 90's this week. Breaking lots of records. 90's in February, WTF?

Miami's forecast for the week is cooler than Orlando's.
Low-to-mid 80s versus upper 80s/low 90s.
Jacksonville's forecast to be warmer than Miami, too.

The only vestige of pigment on my alabaster ass comes from my Cajun Great + Grandmother, whose Daddy gave me my name. The rest is mainly pure Scot going right back to their Scandinavian roots. The glare has been known to cause blindness.
 
Snow in Hollywood. Freakishly large winter storms. Alarmist news stories using words like "unusual" and "unprecedented" but never once do they use the words 'climate change", at least not in the same sentence.

So what is it? Voodoo?

Do you? I never have. Granted that I don't usually read news stories about disastrous weather events too closely, but I always look for that phrase: climate change. Two words. Together. One right after the other.

They need to be in the headline. The people who need to be convinced are the same people who don't bother to read more than twelve words in succession.
 
I have heard it described as climate change but only on the independent news radio.

We have snow covering our mountains which I have never seen before. It is also ice cold which is another VERY UNUSUAL climate change for us.

Climate change has always been real and explained in detail very well BUT it is not something corporations and greedy assholes and republicans who carry the water for them want to acknowledge

It is especially revealing when one considers that they could care less about and are sacrificing their children or grandchildren's future for $$$ and power

When someone shows you who they are - BELIEVE THEM!

I think that these people believe $$$ and power will be enough for their descendants to somehow circumvent the impending disasters. Either that or they're just sociopaths.

Both things are true.

They are counting on fellow sociopath elon musk to whisk them away to another planet (lets call it their plan B ;););))

I would LOVE for plan B to happen sooner then later. Whisk them away and maybe we can reverse some of the damage.

It will never work. Don't let all that bottled water fool you: Donald Trump would rather die of dehydration than drink recycled urine. (used for example. Trump will be dead in a few years I'm betting).

They will need to oppress someone. Who will they oppress? Answer: each other, eventually. Unless they bring some poor lower class schlubs along to use and boss around. And in turn, those schlubs will revolt and try to destroy them. Good times!

If that scenario isn't already a book or movie, it should be.

I kinda like the scenario in the YouTube video you posted above.
 
The biggest mistake was referring to it as 'Global Warming'. Big mistake.

Venus and Earth were water planets at one time - oceans, rivers, lakes, waterfalls...

Then it all went wrong. Greenhouse gases caused intense clouds, holding in the heat from the Sun, sending temperatures soaring. Rivers and lakes dried up. Waterfalls grander than Niagara Falls vanished. Oceans evaporated. Today, the mean surface temperature on Venus is 847°F (453°C). It's hot enough there to melt lead.

That's where Earth is heading.
