No, I didn't have sex with anyone, but I do feel like I've been fucked. I got my very first speeding ticket today. Yeah...I have no right to bitch, it IS my fault, but still. The cop could have just given me a warning since I've never had anything against my driving record and I was only going 12 mph over the speed limit.

Anyone remember their first citation?
 
Never had one. Was once given a warning for pulling out of a service station on a curve "without looking."
 
Ya, it was last december. I was speeding... Going about 15 over but my ticket was written for "6-10". The officer told me he saved me a lot of money, I said thanks but didn't see how that was possible. When I started looking at the paper he gave me though, he did save me about $100 !oops! ​
 
I don't know how much mine is. I have to call tomorrow. I was only going 32, but it was a school zone. I wasn't paying attention.
 
Sure do. I was doing 129 km/h in a 110 zone. I was sixteen and while I was pulled over the school bus I used to ride passed us

I haven't had a ticket since Aug 1996 and proud of it!

Was given a ticket for driving in a 'bus lane' for more than 100 meters. I was only probably 30 meters over......ouch!!!

No, they don't tell you when they give you the citation. You have to call the following day to find out. I was looking online for the city in which I got the ticket and I'm expecting it to be $150. I REALLY can't afford that right now...

If you did that in Nevada, you would be paying hundreds of $$$'s and NOT just $150!

Man, you better start paying attention.....out here, they get you with the fine + points on the license and you have to go to driver's school to boot!

I hope you don't get boinked with a BIGGER fine than you expect!!

And guys reading this: it's a lot more than the fine---your insurance goes up, so if you haven't gotten a ticket yet, don't do it for the experience, OK?
 
Not for speeding, but for being dumb and parking where I shouldn't've been. It used to be a twenty pound fine, which is about thirty seven dollars US. It's now thirty pounds... I felt really angry with myself too.
