Since the World Series is going to be Boston vs Philly. The other teams should simply give up and not even play the games. Because the best teams on paper ALWAYS win the games and the series*

* Other than the 2010 Giants, 2002 Angels,2006 Cardinals etc...

well what if howard blows a knee or roy needs tommy johns or the red sox new additions dont deliver. while on paper i like the picks and would love to see my phillies back in the series the injury bug is always lurking, we found that out last season, thats why they play the game

I'm aware of that. The fans of these two teams don't know that though.

Wait.

Baseball is played outside of Boston and New York?

I had no clue! Nor does ESPN!

ESPN is a Boston Red Sox station. Always has been with people like Jim Caple, Bill Simmons,Peter Gammons etc.
I'm a Yankee fan but I also know there are 29 other teams in baseball. I also know that if any of the moves Boston or Philly made this offseason were done by New York, we'd be ripped to shreds instead of being praised. The moves made by both teams have pushed their payrolls to more than 170 million each, yet the cries of "buying" championships are nowhere to be heard.
Even if we had gotten Cliff Lee, I would never (and I know I'd be in the minority) have proclaimed our team to be World Series locks. On paper right now, yes Boston and Philly have the best teams.
But if you look at who has won the World Series over the past ten years, the best team on paper, couldn't transfer that to a championship.

Two things
Boston, never underestimate the NY Yankees they have one of the most successful franchise in baseball. The pitching may be in question best for next year but I would hardly count them out.
They will be a force to deal with
Phillies and that rotation, I can't wait to se how many Mets batters end up owning most of that rotation next year, especially Lee:p

Sound like a broken record, but I soured on Lee after watching him in game 5 of the 2010 World Series. Despite his good ol boy image by many, he's always come across as arrogant to me. Not that the Yankees don't have those players too(A-Rod cough cough) but you should never put your ego above your team. Cliff Lee did just that in Game 5 when he refused to walk a player his own catcher was telling him to walk. End result, he put the nail in Texas's coffin.

Fuck the fucking MLB this year.

The Phillies having that rotation is bullshit.

Also, go Nats/Rays!

What I'm really going to hate about the MLB this year. The All Star game in Arizona, where they'll be playing clips of the 01 World Series all week long. That series still haunts me. We were two outs away...and it all went to hell.
Most of all, it gave that $#@ Schilling a World Series ring.
Even if he had been wearing a Yankee uniform, I'd still hate him. He is my most hated player in baseball.

And I thought I was the only one who still relives that Game 7 bottom of the ninth with the Yankees leading 2-0 and then Womack's double to tie the game and then the Luis Gonzalez weak hit that just cleared the infield. I still think what could have been if Rivera had only ...

So, saying the phrase: "Bottom of the 9th Inning in Game 7", will make any Yankees fan go silent and shudder in terror? :D

My God, your team had just won three fucking World Series in a row (including one with a team in 2000 that didn't even win 90 games), and you're bitching about not winning a fourth because of a game 7 in a World Series?

P U K E

This is why people hate Yankees fans.

More to do with 9/11 than anything else. I would have gladly traded the past three years before that for a victory in 01, I really would.

Mention one out away in Game six to a Boston Red Sox fan and you'd get a similiar reaction.
