I used it once, maybe 3x. i've seen enough americans' cars to not trust that just anybody can pick up my order. yall be having 9 years worth of trash in your car and ain't washed your hands since the Stone Age, the less people touching my food the better. and honestly in america you're lucky if the people preparing your food were wearing gloves.

the deciding moment for me was a viral video of a doordash delivery woman, food order in hand, drop her pants and take a dump in a trash can in an apartment or hotel lobby. who wants to bet that she didn't make a beeline to the nearest sink to wash her hands?

i'll file this under "things we rolled out too early cuz we're not civilized yet."

We don't use it but its here in Canada and advertised a LOT.

It's a terrible business model, no oversight for food handling and you tip before you even get your order. naturally they aren't even "employees" so if somebody is robbed or killed by a drunk driver while delivering, tough *titty said the kitty!

*sincere apologies if my mention of breasts offends anyone who comes to Hot Topics to read about knitting sweaters and 416 threads about toilets

Don’t forget about the driver that dunked his balls in someone’s salsa because he didn’t think they tipped enough.

This is why I go out like once every 5 months. Ever since that video of the guy taking a bath in the dishwashing sink at Burger King. and he wasn't even sexy he looked like he was fresh off a meth binge. :(

We have Skip The Dishes and according to this link https://tubitv.com/movies/356527/blue-velvet?start=true

. . . there is also Grub Hub, Door Dash, Seamless, Uber Eats, Caviar, Postmates, ChowNow,

Ive never had Skip The Dishes and I ordered ALOT in the past weeks. I started with a greasy burger from Wendy's and I almost swore off Skip The Dishes. But this is what I ordered, all contained on my Visa statement . . .

It's expensive!!!! I was just ordering for myself. I had burgers or pizza. Nothing was over $20. Some burgers were over $20.

I dont even want to know what the total is.

After the colorful descriptions above, that might be another reason to not get Skip the Dishes or anything else. My neighbour ordered Skip The Dishes. I saw the car drive by. She lives across the yard from me.

We have businesses such as Just Eat and Deliveroo which deliver takeaway food to the door. There are other companies which deliver groceries on a similar basis including, I think, Uber. I've never used any of them. The major supermarkets all run home delivery services as well and I have used them a handful of times.

I've never been overly concerned about hygiene. Dozens of people could already have handled the items I buy off the supermarket shelves. I doubt that the one or two more involved in the home delivery process would make much of a difference. What does concern me are the cyclists working for Just Eat and Deliveroo in Birmingham city centre. They ride on pavements, jump red lights and go the wrong way up one way streets. They're an absolute menace. It's one of the reasons I don't buy from them.

I would be more worried about, for example, my sister who has specific instructions when she orders. The cook might not spit in her food for the silly instructions . . . who knows.

Fortunately we are so far out in the country that it would be ridiculously expensive to have lukewarm, soggy food delivered for an exorbitant amount of money.

We love to cook and because we freeze tons of dishes for later use, we usually aren't without something for dinner and the nights where our original menu plan doesn't pan out as it were, an omelette or a quick pasta dish fills the bill.

When we eat restaurant food, we now want to eat it in the restaurant...from the kitchen to our table as freshly made and served as possible.

We don't even do take-away pizza or Asian dishes anymore. I like the taste of what we make so much better.

Used to use them all the time for takeaways, now with a charge of £3.50 for delivery i don't bother so much.

I sometimes get messages delivered during the day from Tesco or Sainsbury's there's a huge mark up but i guess that comes with same day delivery.

I used Asda Home Delivery once when I was laid up. Never again! The ridiculous things they substitute when they have run out of something.

Ive been inn my underwear all day and I was just folding laundry. I decided to put on shorts and t shirt and literally 5 minutes later, a guy comes to drop off food, but he came to the wrong door. He was looking for Apt. 3, I'm Apt C.

This is how hepatitis outbreaks happen. People such as myself have to overcompensate for everybody who touches doorknobs after scratchin their sweaty sack.

Don't get me wrong. I always wash fruit and vegetables before eating them and I wash my hands after going to the lavatory and before preparing food. My point was that when buying food at Sainsbury's, I don't worry too much about who might have touched what.

Do places like pizza parlours and KFC even have their own delivery service anymore? It's been years since I've used their services. I suppose it's all done by phone through one of the many (expensive?) delivery services.
