I have "Some Like It Hot" on DVD and give it a spin every couple of months. It really is fun! You must watch the finish. The closing line has become perhaps the most famous closing line in any movie ever.

She really was quite limited in her "acting skills" - may be had she lived longer she might have developed into a better actor.

But why she ever went any where near Arthur Miller is something I shall never understand. Talk about two disturbed personalities that should never have met.

I seriously think her association with him did her career and what talents she had very little in a positive sense.

"Bus stop" is nice, "The Prince and the Showgirl" is quite entertaining (because of Laurence Olivier and Sybil Thorndike and a VERY cute Jeremy Spenser).
But most interesting I thought was the documentary "Marilyn Monroe: The Final Days" including a lot of recovered scenes from her last unfinished movie "Somethings Got to Give"

i've seen most all of her movies and i like them all but the two that showed her best [to me] is niagra and "river of no return". some like it hot was great also.

Some Like it Hot is one of my very favorite movies. And for its time, for a 'mainstream' movie, it's pretty much out there (especially that end scene) for how prudish this country was and still is.

I like "Clash by Night," directed by Fritz Lang. This 1952 flick is a film noir movie, and I love film noir. She plays a dramatic role. Barbara Stanwick is a little overpowering, but Marylin does a good job. If you like eye-candy, you shouldn't miss the shirtless scenes of the buff Keith Andes.
