So it likely isn't as bad in our theatres now, but a few years back before reserved seating when we would be sitting through 30 minutes of commercials and shit before the movie started, I felt this guy's pain.

The question will be whether this judgement makes theatres around the world reconsider how much product advertising they should subject their customers to.

I haven't been to the cinema is a very long time but I can remember back in the 60's when cinemas used to run continuous screenings all day. You could go in at about 2pm when it opened and sit through the ads, the second film and then the main feature. Then it would start all over. You could watch the same programme of films three times in a day if you wanted. And, of course, if you arrived late, halfway through the film, you could catch up next time round. They didn't make you wait til the film ended before letting you in.

I always found the adverts to be irritating. I paid to see a movie, if I wanted to see adverts during a movie, I would watch them on the TV.

When they still showed ads for cigarettes in the flicks, those ads had enormous budgets. They were worth watching in their own right. Particularly the Silk Cut ones, they were usualy better than the main feature.

Some of them were like mini Bond movies

My hetty friends looked forward to the ads for Lambs Navy Rum. These had the girls with the biggest tits in the most insubstantial swimming costumes.
