I asked this question on another site and I got some interesting comments so I thought I would ask it here. I am curious to know from the straight dudes on here....when you are in the locker room/showers/anywhere there is a state of undress....do you notice/look/observe other dudes...sort of size them up? My brother says straight guys dont ever look...I say BS to that...I think we all look. Do you? Not gawking and not in a sexual way...just observe your fellow dudes? And I am not talking at the urinals...that is off limits and I know that!

I’m bi, but I always look and not in a sexual way, I look just because I can. They can look at me if they want so I do the same, but I would never stare just a quick glance.

everyone looks. it's curiosity in a non sexual way though. we men always compare and glance, but not stare

Some boffins did a study once, tracking peoples eyes to seewhatthey looked at. When men look at a pic of another man, no matter how straight they are, the part they look at most is the crotch. Women check out the face.

I was in the military and I can tell you that straight guys DO look...again, not in a sexual way. I've had straight guys tell me point blank that there is nothing wrong with admiring a guys physique, if he has a nice build....but that's all it is. It has nothing to do with sex at all and the penis is the last thing they may look at if they look at all. Generally, to them, a naked guy is just another naked guy. There is no sexual interest whatsoever and none intended.

I can relate. Being totally gay, I feel the same way about women. Some women do have beautiful bodies that I admire. But that's where my interest ends. I have absolutely no interest in them sexually and they do nothing for me sexually. No arousal whatsoever.

^ Exactly. The ones who insist that they'd never look because it's "gay" are the ones who have unresolved issues.

I remember a bit of this. It was with the test subjects watching baseball players on tv, as I recall.

I wonder if they'd get the same results with subjects looking at naked people. No reason to think they wouldn't, I suppose, but I do wonder what the stats would be like.

Yep, that was the one!

By the same token, it may seem counterintuitive but in advertising the way to get a guy to buy something is to put a hot sexy guy in the ad, not a girl

I would agree, I'm sure all guys look and there probably is nothing weird or strange about that. Had an interesting experience today that at least, kinda confirms this. I'm volunteering as an interpreter for a deaf kid at a school. He's 10 or 11 yrs old and since he's deaf, he's really VISUALLY oriented. I usually bring something in for him to look at to kinda break the ice before class starts.

Today I brought a book from my art history class. He looked at a few things and pointed out a couple of things to me. When he got to a page with a very busy image (a lot of stuff about hell and the Last Judgement). The first thing he pointed out to me was a man's 'manhood' to be polite. I looked signed to him that that wasn't a 'good thing' to show in an elementary school class.

And there've been a couple of other times, I noticed that HE noticed the crotch parts.
