I really like it a lot, but the problem is that who doesnt have it cannot open files created with office 2007. So, for now it is useless.

Hello all, i was just wondering how long it takes to learn office 2007? yes, i have read reviews about how terrible the ribbons are, how everything is out of its place etc. If it takes too long, im scared i wouldnt have time to spend learning all its new functions, looking for old functions. Im a 3rd year university student and time is precious. I really like to upgrade to 2007, documents look so much nicer on it, but if it takes too much time to relearn everything, i would rather keep my old one.

Get it and move up in the 21st century. If you have had Office 2003, it won't be too difficult to get used to. Maybe if time is of the essence, you should wait until break, but I highly recommend it. It's the best software update from Microsoft I have experienced since Windows XP, and that includes Vista!

I went back to 2003, Office 2007 was a waste of my download ratio.

Like anything new it will take me some time to adjust. Overall I like it and once I get used to the new ribbon menus, I just know I am going to love it. I can definitely see it being easier to use in the long run.

Another big bonus.... Excel doesn't max out as 65535 rows anymore. It's unlimited.

It was a kind of a shock when I opened up Office for the first time. However, I'm starting to like it the more I use it.
Exactly what I was going to say.

I don't care to use the mouse more than I have to. So I've been in the process of relearning the alt commands.

If you can get it, get it.
I got a new computer with Vista + Office 2007 installed and I love it.
My documents look more "fresh" for some reason. lol. Maybe the new fonts?

I don't like it. After 10 years with 7 different versions of Word that were basically the same, I have to face something that it's as different from the previous version as Word 2003 is from Word 6.0 or Excel 2003 is from Excel 5.0. Leave me with OpenOffice.org 2.2.

Plus, $400... come on.
