Official 82nd Annual Academy Awards{Oscars} Thread

Re: Official 82nd Annual Academy Awards Nomination Thread

Amanda Seyfried is 24, that's not a teen by any means.

Anyways this was the first Oscars I've watched in full, even more boring than the Grammy's.

That's why I said "teen" in quotes. She presented with Miley Cyrus. And she's played a teen in every role I've seen her in (Veronica Mars, Big Love, Jennifer's Body, Mean Girls), but I still like her.

The Oscars could be less boring if they moved all of the editing and sound awards to the technical Oscars. And at the end of the day, I think an academy award has more weight than a Grammy. Some truly crappy artists have won Grammys.. But then again, Crash won an Oscar....

And I hate that these teeny boppers that are invited to present (Taylor Lautner, Zack Efron). I'm especially annoyed with Lautner. He's had one substantial and successful role in a bad movie and all of a sudden he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Maybe OSCAR co-producer Adam Shankman has the hots for them. Eww:eek:

There aren't that many Oscars that people care about though, they'd have to cut the show down or they'd just waste more time. They can fill up the Grammys with performances, but the Oscars can't really do that without looking like they're wasting time. (And I'm just fine without the best song nomination performances. :-))

He did do High School Musical didn't he? Lol.
