I already learned how to make it run as a hot spot, I'm on my computer now using it! Lol

I am with straight talk (and I'm not even straight the irony?) and have the Samsung Galaxy Precedent.

What I wanna do, is make my phone run off other servers/towers. My last straight talk phone ran off Verizon towers, now with the android it runs off of Sprint towers. I know this can be done. I know there is an APP that gives you full authority over the phone. Thanks.

There's no app that will switch between providers. The firmware has to be edited/changed and requires specific tools, donor phones, and is technically illegal.

Ok well how do I do that illegal shit I already did illegal shit to it. Altering the firmware is "Rooting" the phone and I have already done that.

I won't be discussing it, sorry. However, google is your friend.

xda developers will be your best friend if you want to do custom roms, hacks, rooting, and all sorts.

The rest you should be able to find ;)

Also rooting really only gives you "full" access to your android device. iOS jailbreaking actually creates a new custom firmware image to run. I'm pretty sure it was ruled 2 years ago that "jailbreaking" is not illegal so rooting should not be either. But I think that is going to expire soon.

altering the firmware is not rooting. rooting a phone will not allow you to freely "choose towers". not even the usual jailbreaked phone will allow you to do this. rooting and jailbreaking is not illegal. what you want to do, is,
