its crazy. it was like surreal. for the LONGEST time, ive been wanting to tell them but never had the guts or knew how to say it... then after talking with my therapist today and a friend, i was just overcome with this need to do it and i actually did!

my parents reacted just as i thought they would -- they dont care lol. im really lucky in that that totally accept me and says it doesnt change anything :)

anyways, been a long time since ive been on here. just thought this was pretty big news! hope everyone's well!!

Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that their reaction was positive. (*8*)

Congratulations. I haven't come out to many people in my family. I did come out to my lil sis and it felt SO good when I got it over with. Actually when I told her "I'm gay" I could swear my entire brain was trembling and like I was so phased from reality for a split second.

And then a minute later I was so happy and she was asking me if I wanted to hook up with any of her gay friends :luv: I've grown immensely close to her ever since.

I'm happy for you. Congratulations on doing it, and double congratulations on their reaction(*8*) I hope you have a great day and a great(er) relationship with your parents from here on out.

Good for you, they say the truth will set you free, be free!!!

Congratulations!!!! It makes me and many others on here so happy that you shared this with us.

If they are accepting you, they DO care!

I don't know you, but it is a big deal... So many of us have been rejected by our parents (I am not in that number, gratefully)... Those who reject their kids because of them being gay are the ones who "don't care"(*8*)

Thank you for sharing and congratulations getting what was a burden (too bad that it is for most of us) off your mind. Real parents want what's best for their children not what they may think is best, and nothing is better than authenticity. I'm glad you have real parents. As a parent I can tell you that nothing is better than moving into an adult relationship with your child. I'm happy for your family. :)

Gongrat's on the easy Outing !! Mine was ROUGH, at the time - it's good to see it go smoothly for others.
