is he OK? Does anyone know what happened to him, he looks awful and in such a short period of time! Does anyone know of his whereabouts? I used to be such a huge fan but now after looking at his most recent pic I am so worried about him! He was one of the biggest stars for Falcon then went on to SX Video as a bareback model. Thats was the last I heard or saw of him ...then I find this recent pic of him from his webcam and my heart just sank, is he sick or something? drugs?

The statement below is from Wikipedia so keep that in mind. This does jive with statements he has made in the past. AIDS and a meth head? Yes, I would say he is very sick.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Palmer

Palmer is opposed to pharmaceuticals as the best way to fight HIV infection, instead promoting the therapeutic use of cannabis.[7] He writes personal messages and displays them prominently on his website home page about this matter and his strong positions about it.

After being diagnosed with HIV in 1997, Palmer used antiretroviral drugs over a period of four years.[8][6] Withdrawing from the program after complaining of being used as "guinea pig", Palmer started making controversial statements about the HIV/AIDS virus and its supporting industry. He says that he started investigating AIDS denialist sites on the internet and became convinced that HIV and AIDS are fraudulent conspiracy theories.[4][9] The following year Palmer would sign with Hot Desert Knights to star in his first condomless, or "bareback" film. It featured Palmer's first anally receptive or "bottom" sex scene.[4][9] Despite his previous AIDS diagnosis, Palmer allowed fans to perform oral sex on him during his club appearances and still advocates "bareback" sex.[3][9] On his website www.jeffpalmer.net, there is this statement: "Jeff Palmer does not have hiv, anyone saying otherwise must provide proof, defamation it's a crime." Palmer had also admitted in 2004 to a crystal meth addiction which he deals with.[10]

Amazing he's lasted as long as he has. Jeremy Jordan has undergone the same problem. You look at him now..he looks plain awful.

That is heartbreaking. Always sad to see people actively destroying their lives.

I'm surprised he's still alive. He's nuts. He made LOTS of public statements about how AIDS wasn't caused by HIV, etc. He was in the thick of that whole phenomenon. Kind of like the crazies who say Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya. He actively campaigned against AIDS treatment.

This is what untreated AIDS looks like. I wonder if he'll get to a point where he'll be declared insane and they'll force anti-retrovirals on him?

He is an HIV/AIDS denier and much like "truthists" believe about conspiracies like; Obama is a Muslim, The Moon landing was a fake and 9/11 was a government plot. His website is riddled with references to AIDS and HIV "truth" as well as detoxing as a cure

Its so sad to see such a handsome and sexy young man deteriorate to the point that he is at right now. An addiction to Meth has really not helped either. Perhaps things would have turned out differently had he been on medication since he tested positive and Meth had not reared its ugly head. When I look at his bareback movies its clear that he is under the influence of something.

I also wonder if AIDS related dementia is happening here as well.

So many beautiful gay men end up dying prematurely from preventable things like HIV/AIDS related illnesses and drug addiction. Such an unnecessary waste.

This is also was treated HIV looks like.

It certainly is not!

My best friend has been positive for over 20 years and he looks nothing like that. His viral load is undetectable and he is a fit, healthy middle aged gay man. He has survived for so long because he takes his medication and does not take drugs and he looks after himself.

Its important to realise that HIV may not be cured in out lifetime, however if HIV positive people get onto medication immediately after learning their status then their viral loads become that of an HIV negative person making the virus almost impossible to pass on. This is why there is a focus on getting tested all the time and taking your meds. This is also how HIV will be eradicated.

Jeff Palmer is also a Meth addict too. The combined toll of untreated HIV and Meth is evidenced in the picture on his website. His belief in denying AIDS will also cause him to die younger than he needed to.

I agree some of the "old timers" - no disrespect - that got on ant-retrovirals late look bad, but not many recently after 2000 or so ... still sad when I saw this pic.

WOW my head is spinning! Thank you for all this info I had no idea!

If he is spreading hiv virus to other people,
he should be punished some how.

In many parts of the world - If you don't disclose your HIV status (assuming you're positive and you know it) and you pass HIV on to another person you can be charged with manslaughter. In Australia, this is the case.

In the bareback movies that Jeff Palmer was doing, you can assume that they sero-sorted HIV positive men to bareback each other. The same is happening with Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher except the sero-sorting seems to be for HIV negative men to bareback eachother. (I assume this however it may not be the case and some of the pairings may actually be positive guys).

Its naive to think that HIV positive men have safe sex with each other hence the serosorting that goes on in that community and the availability of bareback porn and requests for BB and PandP on hookup sites.

This brings a new dimension to all this doesn't it?

In better days.

I don't like his hair dyed.

After everything thats been said - about AIDS, dementure, death, drug addiction, barebacking etc the best we can come up with is a comment about his hair?

You're looking at a gravely ill man who is clearly close to death - his hair is irrelevant.

I don't understand how his lower jaw has become so much more protruding than before. Is it actually his photo? Has it been photo shopped? Human growth hormone can change the facial structures, but at his age?

If he doesn't believe he has Aids or is HIV positive, what does he think is wrong with him and why he looks as if he is wasting away? I remember when he first hit the scene, he was the "it guy" from Falcon.

I have a question.
Is he actually sick?
Those of you making assumptions about him being sick on account of a VISUAL picture (without any kind of evidence to back it up) is a bit arrogant.

Thinness can be related to a variety of things - Meth for one thing (if he used it), change in diet (resulting from altered perceptions in life) none of which have anything to do with the person being HIV + (which doesn't guarantee a person will develop AIDS symptoms).
Does the guy still go to the gym and is he following a nutritional regime required to maintain an athletic body?

Honestly, from the picture that was posted in the first post, the guy doesn't 'look' sick at all (which doesn't have to mean anything).
He has dyed hair (of which I'm not a fan of - but I cannot say I found his athletic-self past photos more appealing) and looks thin.
That's about everything I can say from the picture alone.
Without access to his medical data, making assumptions about his health status is arrogant and distasteful.

I find it very interesting how people will jump to conclusions.

Also... on him questioning whether HIV is the cause of AIDS:
To berate a person for questioning established notions seems closed-minded and very dogmatic.
Science is not about the 'absolute truth', 'belief' or 'faith'.
Evidence is not proof and correlation is not proof of causation.
That said, people keep forgetting that the scientific method is a way of APPROXIMATING what is happening in real life - all the while keeping in mind the possibility the said findings are subject to change at any given time (because as our methodology and knowledge improves and changes with time, so could/would the results of various tests).

Last time I checked... HIV being the cause of AIDS is still being regarded as a THEORY that has strong correlations based on available data.

At least the guy is showing a degree of intelligence to him for openly asking questions - as opposed to majority of the global population that seemingly lost the ability for critical thinking.

Finally: his choice for quitting the drugs is his own (and those of you ignoring the toxicity of the said drugs would be ignoring the premise that each person reacts differently to same drugs - go read up on the actual drugs being used and what kind of side-effects they can produce - don't just read superficial media articles that don't give any actual DETAILS).

Are you for real?

I was there when HIV AIDS was some unkown devastating plague. I was there when dozens and then hundreds of homos were cut down in their prime as HIV developed into full blown AIDS and there were no drugs. Iwas there when the drug Cocktails were being developed and I witnessed the change in HIV AIDS as being a fast death sentence to a manageable chronic condition. I have also see AIDS attack the brain stem and turn completely rational people into raving lunatics.

And yes, the drugs are tough on people. But they have given millions of people decades more of living.

I also have 25 years of knowing when death is a man's companion.

I served as a board member on a national organization dedicated to AIDS education and research.

I've have 25 years in contact with HIV AIDS. What are you offering?

Get the fuck real.

HIV as the cause of AIDS is not a theory.

Don't give some kind of vague new age nonsense statements without backing them up with solid sources.

Attributing one's emotions to what we know to be AIDS epidemic could be considered unscientific.
Many are too vested into the subject on an emotional level that they cannot look at it logically (you 'rareboy' seem to exhibit the same/similar behavior).

I do not attempt to trivialize the loss of life to the said illness, but rather I try to look at thing objectively.
There were also too many people back then who DIED because of the drugs - but lets just ignore those deaths for the sole purpose of glorifying the 'miraculous cocktails' (which happen to be pushed on healthy HIV negative people these days for the purpose of 'lowering transmission rates' - it will be interesting to study the data of the population taking them).

I am NOT providing 'vague new age statements' (whatever you classify under those) - most posters here in this thread were making statements about Palmer based on 1 photo and all I did was ask a question if they knew he is actually sick (because if you have no such evidence, then all you do is basically make assumptions to justify personal perceptions of what you think is 'the truth' - which again is unscientific).
Watching at a photo can only tell you so much if you want objectivity (the rest Humans fill in with personal perceptions that stem from culture they grew up in) - or are you going to tell me otherwise?

You should look more into how the scientific method works and what its based on.
Emotional outbursts can only deteriorate the discussion.
