Omgosh, Dumbledore is gay...

Is dear old Dumbledore the first fictional character in history to be outed by his author and creator?

i just read it on yahoo headline news. this news really made me happy. he was my favorite character and i knew there was something between him and his friend (i hope i didn't spoil anything. doub it though)

thank you j.k. rowling!

Saw it on Yahoo... I figured with all the Radcliffe fans this topic would be more active. (I'm assuming most Radcliffe fans are also fans of the Harry Potter series... I could be wrong)

i see it...

oh my god lol... that is really useless information now, but nice to know... i suppose...

Maybe Rowling could use this and create a series focusing on young Dumbledore, before he became the Headmaster. I'd buy that.

She didn't write about a lot of things. After the seventh book, she had numerous chats with fans to let them ask questions, particularly things they still wanted to know. So things she never got to write about, she mentioned, or even things that she did plan on writing about but had to cut down from her editors. The epilogue, for example, was originally much much longer, so most of that information about characters that seems like an afterthought was in there.

She already stated that she was interested in possibly writing an encyclopedia, which would contain much more information. So I see it as all the ideas she had that didn't make it through.

I did, however, hear that when she was writing the first few books, she had to cut a lot fo foreshadowing content because it wasn't guaranteed that the series would take off. So the rumor continues to suggest a re-printing of the series with the original content. Just a rumor, though.

bahahahaha.... dumbledore... gay?
LOLLLL
i dont think so... sorry
Too bad it's right there and in the news. Sorry. ::shrug::

It's not like she had to say in the books that Dumbledoore was gay. It was irrelevant to the plot. It was just part of his personality which some people picked up on. I always thought there was something fruity about him. Now that she said it, it makes sense.
