The whole idea behind this movie was awesome, hence the reason I saw it. After seeing it though...its actually a really bad movie. There is no missed call. Everyone actually answered the phone. And one call wasn't even a call it was a video of her dying. The acting was extremely bad and over dramatized. Shannyn Sossaman was the only good actor in the film and now that I seen it i feel bad for her that she chose this movie. It was supposed to be a horror movie. While my friend next to me kept jumping, I did not jump at all or was the least bit frightened. He looked at me and was like omg your always scared when we see horror movies. And I said well if it wasn't so predictable I would be scared. It was just way too predictable. You knew exactly when something was going to pop out or make you jump. I am soo tired of all this CGI crap that you can tell is CGI. Some movies you cant tell and some you can. This one you definitely could tell. They drug out the end soo far I didnt think they were going to pull it back in lol.

I still give the idea behind the movie credit and the storyline/plot as well. It was just the way it done thats all.
 
I think the whole thing sounded stupid from the beginning, so no surprise that it sucked! =P
 
My true disappointment - I haven't seen it, so this is hearsay - is that it isn't even GOOD bad, or fun bad. It's just dull-beyond-belief bad. I love me a horrible movie, and there hasn't been a good one in some time...

I like the title of the movie if that counts for anything...LoL but why is it called One Missed Call? Does no one who gets the call answer their phone & just sit and say "Hey thats not my ring tone"?

It seems like it should be called "The Ringtone" or something (which is lame but seems more appropriate)


Anyway, I heard the Japanese original isn't very good & on the lower end of their horror movies, (Like is Scream is A, I know What you did is a B, Urban Legend is a C =same for the The Ring A, The Grudge B, One Missed Call is a C) if that makes any sense to anyone, you're awesome..so I'm not expecting much from the remake needless to say
 
Well, not many terror/horror films that have been released recently have been anygood IMO of course. But by the previews i have to say it did not look too promising..
 
The title, "One Missed Call" is a good title for the movie, considering that the people 'miss the call' before dying.(lame logic, but it sorta makes sense). Anyway, am planning on renting it on DVD.
 
I actually liked this movie a lot. Compared to all of the big budget December failures this was a movie that lived up to the hype unlike anything else I had seen lately. I didn't have any expectations for it other than to be the umpteenth asian horror remake, and it fit exactly the mold I was expecting it to. I was pleasantly thrilled.
