I've rented an apartment at the Tressa in North Seattle since 2010. My rent payments were through the Tressa payment portal, until the property was sold November 2024.
Since November the new property owners use a 3rd party payment platform called, "BILT Rewards" and I had to create a membership account in order to pay rent.

Since January, I'm receiving enrollment request emails from Esusu. Has anyone ever heard of this company? Something doesn't smell right to me.

 
I've heard of Bilt, but not the other one. I wish I could join Bilt.
 
Every email from an unknown source goes to my junk folder. I'm guessing BILT shares tenant information freely?

Probably. Bilt is a rewards program. You can earn points for paying your rent, mortgage and other things. I would think they share info to make money off you.
 
Ah, now that's what the building staff just told me. BILT shares info with credit reporting companies.
If I register with Esusu they offer on-time payment rewards, low-income rent assistance, and financial management classes to build credit scores.
I'll sift through my junk folder everyday from now on.
