When I saw the trailer I admit I let out a good chuckle....especially when the tag line across the screen said: "THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH ESTHER..."

I have no idea why it just made me laugh lol...but this really just seems like an updated/female version of the GOOD SON....

I was at the movies earlier this week at saw the poster for it in the lobby. I thought it looked kinda stupid.

The tagline made me laugh along with the poster.

But just now I heard what the "twist" is and it kinda made me interested to see it now.

....|..|..|....(Good).....

This was 2hrs of good acting and enough suspense that made it worth the late night admission price. No slow parts at all and the Director did a good job with a plot we've seen many times on film. There were a few moments of comedy that had the theatre "rolling". The young Orhan girl is indeed a NUT and helps carry the film.. There's a "twist" in the plot that you won't see coming. As the caption above the movie says:

"There's something WRONG with Esther"...

I just LOVED that bitch Esther :)

The mom and brother not sooo much...lol

My friend spoiled the twist and it sounds completely ridiculous. it made me laugh.

I saw it Saturday. I thought it was great. It was a very effective thriller. The acting is great, especially the little girl. The twist was good, if not a little contrived. It worked, though.

I couldn't stop myself from laughing at the parents in the movie who are named "Jon" and "Kate". That particular tidbit was funnier to me than the little girl actually hacking people to death.

I never even noticed that! That is funny.

Fun movie, but I can understand why adoption groups would be upset. I mean it's hard enough for older children to get adopted in the first place. But I did enjoy it.

To be fair, I don't think it was really intended to scare. A LOT of movies are incorrectly marketed as horror movies because the studios believe that will bring in more people when, in reality, the movies are technically thrillers.
