Denver was interesting! Spent four days in training, which gave me a new perspective on teaching. My students have begun to understand and appreciate the differences between this year and last. In just 1 1/2 weeks, I've already noticed a difference in the grades.
The school year started off great! A new set of administrators and several new teachers helped bring a much needed breath of fresh air. After all my rants last year about the incompetent teacher, the replacement is terrific. She was actually one of the people that interviewed me in Garden City when I was applying for jobs. I'm not sure who was more shocked about being colleagues this year.
The bankruptcy is at a standstill. I'm still waiting for the lawyer to file the various forms, but I'm in a much better place psychologically than over the summer.
Well, gotta go. Need to finish some yard work before it starts raining here.
