I've been having a pain in my left testicle for quite some time now. I recently went to the doctor for a physical, and the doctor said everything was fine.

The pain I experience goes from my testicle and down my entire leg and into my foot. I'm really not sure what this could be. Maybe it isn't even my testicle?

The only reason I'm not extremely worried is because it's been on/off like this for a couple years. (It would occur maybe 3-5 times a month or so) But as of late, it is many times a week I feel discomfort. When I touch certain parts of my testicle, sometimes I get a sharp pain but as I said, there are no lumps and I have been examined recently.

any ideas/suggestions?

take a hot bath, if it hasn't gone away after that see a different doctor. Don't take testicular pain lightly if it stays with you.

I was thinking iniatialy of a torsian (where the tube`s suspending your testicles
become`s twisted) but then i thought no because that sort of pain does not
ebb or come and go.
You need an emergency op straight away, otherwise you lose the testicale (Orchidectomey)
This should not be ignored you should see another doc for a 2nd opinion.
Hope all turn`s out well. ..|

A few questions:
  1. How old are you?
  2. Is there anything that seems to bring on this pain- like physical activity, sitting for long periods of time, etc?
  3. Does the pain come on slowly or does it come on suddenly?
  4. How long does the pain last?

I'll be 21 in a few months.

I believe one of my cousins and my dad hae some issues in the past with some veins being tangled or something.

It isn't really a pain, I worded it wrong. It is more of an annoyance. The only real pain I ever felt from it was occasionally when I would be feeling my testicle and I would get a bit of a jolt.

I'm not the most active person. I try to go to the gym as much as possible, maybe a couple times a week. I typically just walk/jog on a track or ride bikes/treadmills.

My legs would always be sore when I was growing up, and my mom always told me it was because I was growing. But as time went on, the annoyance started to come from my testicle and down my whole leg and it feels like it exits in my foot.

The pain/annoyance is typically there most of the entire day. When I wake up, it is gone for maybe an hour and then it comes back.

A varicocle sounds similar to what you have, yet it feels like a bag of worms.

Yeah, it does sort of feel like that.

Isn't that something a doctor would have pointed out though? I just had a physical in which I was told to cough as he felt around and I've been checked a year ago and nothing.

I figure in at least 2 times in the past year a doctor would have said something?

These things are sometimes difficult to pin down. When pain radiates, it's very difficult to determine whether the problem is with an internal organ or whether the nerve itself is impinged.

A varicocele is basically a varicose vein in the scrotum. It can be visible when the scrotum is relaxed. Your physician should request an ultrasound of the scrotum to determine if there is a structural issue with the testis or with the blood vessels that feed the testis.

I know this thread is super old, but I've been noticing the problem again recently. Just as exactly as I described it back in 2011. It never really did go away. Just comes and goes but seems to be very present the last few days.

Did you ever see a doctor about this specific issue (i.e. not just for a physical)?
